Inclusive Lake Norman Culinary Connection Renaissance Writing Retreat w/Private Chef (Private room)

On our first day, you will be collected with your other trip mates from Charlotte Airport in the morning, which is about 42 minutes south of the property (If you'd like to arrange a pickup from somewhere else in Charlotte or close by, just let me know). Everything will be stocked and waiting for you at the house, so that you don't need to worry about a thing. Our private Chef Daniel will greet us with a Welcome Brunch to set the tone for the trip. Once we unwind from brunch we will get into our first workshop. Hors-d’œuvres and an impeccably crafted dinner will soon follow, as with each night. On our second day we will have an early start to get to the festival. The chef will have breakfast ready for us before we head out and we'll have an included lunch at the festival. We'll spend the full day out there to get the most out of it. I suggest joining the fun and planning to dress up as your favorite time traveling character! On our third day we'll start the morning with a writing workshop, then engage in a 2-hour customized cooking lesson by our chef. In the afternoon, a local Captain will meet us at the dock for a 4-hour boating excursion on the lake, including a stop on one of the islands. Afterwards, we will share our final dinner together watching the sunset over the lake. Our final day will include a delicious Farewell Lunch along with one-on-one coaching sessions based on your writing goals. Check-out will be at 3pm to enjoy as much of the day as possible, then you will be driven back to the Charlotte Airport, or somewhere else close by if you wish to extend your trip. Please let me know what questions you have! There is a possibilty for a couple to share a room if you wish to do this with a friend or partner. Please let me know if this is something you're interested in and we can work it out! However, this option is limited to keep the group size small. Please keep in mind: This trip is a thoroughly planned experience with some scheduled free time. The location is somewhat remote, so travelling to other locations during the stay won’t be feasible. The lake doesn’t freeze all year, and temperatures in mid-November are typically around 16 degrees C/ 60 F in the day and colder at night. The home features a fireplace and heating. **Common allergies and a vegetarian diet can be accomodated by the chef if you let me know at booking (so that the chef has time to incorporate this in the meal planning & shopping). Due to the small group and the preplanned meals, we won't be able to accommodate a vegan diet. Accommodation: You will have a private room in a large, quiet lake house with a private dock and outdoor fire pit. 2 of the 4 bedrooms available have king size beds, 2 have queen beds, and 1 room has 2 twin beds that can be pushed together. We have four bathrooms to share, one of which is an ensuite to the primary bedroom. The house has a large deck and balcony with plenty of seating to catch the sun setting over the water. There is a recreational space with foosball and table tennis. The house also has an impressive bar space in the living room. The booking has already been confirmed for our dates by the property owner. I'll share photos of the space and more details about the booking once your spot is confirmed.
