Participants should be comfortable: * hiking 5–9 hours per day * trekking consecutive days at altitude * walking on steep and uneven terrain * carrying a personal daypack with water and essentials Your safety is our highest priority. This itinerary includes carefully planned acclimatization days and experienced local guidance to support safe trekking at altitude. To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, participants are required to: 🛡️ Hold comprehensive travel insurance covering trekking up to 6,000 meters, including emergency helicopter evacuation. 💊 Carry all personal medications, prescriptions, and any altitude-related medication required during the trek. 🧭 Follow the guidance, pacing, acclimatization plans, and safety instructions provided by the guide throughout the journey. Altitude affects everyone differently regardless of fitness level, so flexibility, patience, and teamwork are essential throughout the journey. FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions): Preparing for Your Trek ========================================== ❶ 🏔️ How should I prepare for the high altitude? Focus on building a great cardio foundation, but remember to stay humble. Because altitude affects everyone's biology differently, the best preparation is arriving with a positive mindset, a willingness to pace yourself, and trusting the body’s natural acclimatization process. ❷ 💪 Does being super fit guarantee a smooth trek? While good fitness makes the daily walking much more enjoyable, altitude is a unique environment. Staying healthy at high elevations is less about your fitness level and more about walking slowly, resting well, and listening to your body. ❸ 🚑 What happens if I feel unwell or experience altitude symptoms? You are in safe hands. We always prioritize your health over the itinerary. Our experienced guides use proven, step-by-step acclimatization protocols and will work closely with you to make the best decisions for your comfort and safety. ❹ 🧘 What kind of mindset is best for this journey? Flexibility and patience are your best tools. Being mentally prepared to take slow steps, rest when needed, and focus on the overall experience—rather than rushing to a destination—will ensure you have an incredible trip. ❺ 🎒 How does luggage work during the trek? To keep our team healthy and moving comfortably, we split the weight: 🧳 Your Duffel Bag (10kg limit) :This holds your main clothing, spare shoes, meds, and snacks(chocolate, protein or nuts bar, mixed nuts). It is safely carried by our porters during the day. 🎒 Your Daypack (3kg to 5kg) :This is the small backpack you wear, containing your daily essentials and your thermos. ❻ 🧥 What specific gear is required for my safety and comfort? To keep you warm and dry in the mountains, please ensure you pack: 👟 Footwear:Well-used, broken-in hiking shoes (essential to prevent blisters) plus 1 pair of spare shoes for camp. 🧦 Socks & Underwear: 5 pairs of warm winter socks and sufficient of innerwear. 👕 Layers: 5 quick-dry light t-shirts, 2 thermal sets, 1 pair of track pants, and 2 fleece jackets. *Note: Ensure your thermals and fleeces are quick-dry and rated to keep you warm in freezing weather.* 🥾 Hardware: Trekking poles. *(If you don't want to pack these, you can easily buy a pair in Kathmandu before we start).* ☕ Hydration: A high-quality Thermos bottle that keeps water hot for 18+ hours.

FOUNDER STORY & SOCIAL IMPACT ========================== In 2025, during my Everest Base Camp journey, something shifted within me that I never expected. What began as a physical challenge became a deeply personal experience of clarity, resilience, and reconnection. Away from constant noise and digital overload, the Himalayas created space to slow down and reflect on what truly matters. That experience inspired the creation of Vayra Treks. I wanted to build more than a trekking company — hence Vayra Treks humble beginning starts from a simple belief — trekking in the Himalayas should positively impact both travellers and the local communities who make these journeys possible. A portion of trip proceeds supports the education of porter's children in Nepal — helping create better opportunities for families who are the backbone of Himalayan expeditions. We are also aiming to encourage greater inclusion and representation of female trekking professionals and guides within the Himalayan trekking industry. For October 2026, I am inviting a small founding group of 6–10 Tripmates to join the first Vayra Treks Everest Base Camp journey. This is more than reaching Base Camp. It is about challenge, perspective, connection, and transformation in the Himalayas.
