Mountains, hills, hidden waterfalls and rivers, and then the silence of ancient uninhabited villages, of old roads now traveled only by the flocks of Aspromonte shepherds. And again the sea, the sunsets, the breathtaking views, the friendliness and hospitality of the people of Calabria. You don't need anything to experience all this, all you need is your eyes and your heart.

About me: I've trevelled around the world searching for real experience and sharing moment with locals and this is what I wish to show about my area. I would like to share with other travellers the taste of tradition, nature, and beauty and, of course, of the typical calabrian food!

Accommodation: Accommodations will be in a brand-new apartment with 2 double bed and 1 bathroom. The apartment is very cozy with air conditioning and washing machine. You will find every morning a very special homemade breakfast with local products. Private room in B&B centrally located in Melito di Porto Salvo, will cost 40 € more per night. Melito di Porto Salvo

Tag 1-2
We will meet in the city center of Reggio Calabria and then we will move to Melito di Porto Salvo, in the Ionian coast of Calabria, by private car. You will start this adventure visiting the amazing village of Pentedattilo, where we will have a typical dinner in a very friendly place.

Bova

Tag 2-3
In the second day of our trip we will start to learn how much Magno-Greek rculture is part of this area. At the entrance of the Bov, infact, there is a sign which welcomes visitors written both in ancient Greek and Italian, proof of how the local try to keep your roots preservering the language. Beyond Bova, we will see the "Rocca del Drago" (Dragon stone) and other rock formations, and above all, the ghost town of Roghudi. In the evening we wil back in Melito to enjoy a fabolous pizza.

Gallicianò

Tag 3-4
On the third day we will take a step back in time by visiting a village where Grecanico is still spoken today. Among fountains of love, an Orthodox church and welcoming people, we will discover an authentic corner of Calabria. This is Gallicianò. After that we will have a very typical lunch surrounded by Bergamotto, an unique citrus fruit that grows only in this area. After lunch we will visit the Amendolea Castel, a castel built in the 12th century where you can enjoy an amazing view. In the late afternoon we will back in Melito to attending a cooking class where to learn how to cooking a tradional dish and also how to enjoy it :)

Reggio Calabria

Tag 4-5
After breakfast we will take all the luggages and move to Reggio Calabria. Here we will discover the city by a walking tuor with local friends. During this tour we will see the Caste, the Archaeological Museum (with the famous "Bronzi di Riace"), the Lungomare (the most beautiful kilometer in Italy) and we will taste the best italian ice cream. Accomodation will be in Reggio, where you can enjoy the sunset in front of Sicily. The day after we will have a breakfast before saying our warm goodbyes.
