Here, lush forest contrasts sharply with the surrounding arid land, culminating in a serene visit to Lake Paradise and an overnight stay in Marsabit. From there, the adventure deepens as you cross the vast Chalbi Desert toward North Horr, where endless horizons, heat shimmer, and silence define the experience. You’ll stay in traditional Gabra huts, enjoy a hot lunch, cool off at a local swimming spot, and cap the day with a magical sand dune experience at sunset. The journey continues to Loiyangalani on the shores of Lake Turkana, the world’s largest desert lake. Cultural immersion takes center stage with a visit to the El Molo community, followed by relaxation, hot meals, and an overnight stay by the lake. Day four introduces modern contrast at the Turkana Wind Power Project before heading south to Ngurunit, where community interactions and the famous Ngurunit rock slides offer both adventure and connection.
