This trip offers a mix of adventure, sport, and discovery on a 1-week sailing journey along the Adriatic coast, starting from Zadar, Croatia. You can expect stops at bays to swim, towns to visit and learn more about the sailing sport including stirring the yacht and handling ropes / sails. You should be comfortable at sea, but no sailing experience is required. My wife and I are capable of handling the boat completely on our own, but your help under guidance will make things easier and more relaxed for everyone. The group should meet at the marina by 12:00 at the latest. Before the official handover, we’ll shop for groceries and drinks at a local supermarket. The boat is available from 13:00, when my wife and I will check the yacht for any damage and ensure all systems are working. Once we all settled in, stored the groceries and our lagguage onboard we can decided together to either stay for the first night in the home-marina or depart for about an hour of sailing to the next island to anchor their. Please note: The trip route is exemplary and may change depending on wind and weather conditions. Photos have been taken at last year's sailing trip in Dodekanes, Greece to give you a general impression. We’ll adjust the itinerary to make the most of the conditions and group preferences. Our general aim is to sail around 4 hours per day.
This private, non-commercial trip is organized and led by my wife and me. We are both experienced sailors, with several years of sailing together. We are non-smokers and only accept strictly non-smoking guests. We do not drink alcohol, but we are fine if our guests enjoy it in moderation.
The yacht is a modern Bavaria C38 (11.31 m, 2024), with three spacious cabins and six berths. One cabin is occupied by my wife and me, the other two cabins are available for up to four persons. We do accept other couples which can share a cabin. Incase only individual travelers are joining, we can take up to two men / two female or four men / four female. Guests may also choose to sleep in the saloon or on deck (hammock), if preferred. The yacht features air conditioning, a fully equipped galley, a fridge, hot water, a cockpit shower, solar panels, and modern navigation and safety equipment.
