Hi everybody, To really know a city, you have to be a student there. I was a student at Istanbul University until 2011. This is the same as saying that my whole student life was spent in the historical peninsula. Suriçi, also known as the Historic Peninsula, is a must-see destination for anyone visiting Istanbul. It is home to some of the city's most iconic landmarks and historical sites, including the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Topkapi Palace. The peninsula is also home to many other important cultural and architectural sites, such as the Basilica Cistern, the Grand Bazaar, and the Suleymaniye Mosque.
