Welcome to your upcoming wellness retreat. I'm so excited to meet all of you. I'm Dawn :) I've travelled to over 50 countries as an international flight attendant, and now I want to share what human connection and shared human experiences can do for the soul. Human connection is essential for our overall well-being as social beings. It allows us to feel seen, heard, and understood. From this, we find comfort, security, and happiness. Benefits of combining travel and human connection: - Emotional support - The retreat will be a safe and private space for you to share as much or as little as you like. Free from judgement. Free from the social boxes we keep ourselves in. Express yourself! - Improved mental health - strong social connections reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety. Even if you feel completely fine, you can still benefit greatly from group retreats. - Increased happiness - What's not to love about being in a group where you're completely accepted as you are? Social interaction and spending time with people who accept you as you are increases feelings of happiness and satisfaction. A sense of belonging - feeling connected to others can provide a sense of belonging and purpose, which can help individuals feel more grounded and secure. We may never meet again, but in your heart you will leave knowing that someone is there for you, even if they are far away. This retreat aims to be the start or part of the journey of healing your inner child. Interpersonal connection is so crucial to our emotional well-being. Childhood experiences and traumas can impact an individual's sense of self and their ability to form healthy relationships. Engaging in therapy or support groups, forming close relationships, and allowing others to see and understand one's experiences can be powerful tools in the healing process! By opening up to others and feeling validated and seen, you can begin to heal and integrate your past experiences into a more holistic and fulfilling sense of self. Tag 1-4
Day 1: Friday Arrival at Cape Town International Airport. I will pick everyone up at the same time. Once all spots are filled, we will discuss pick-up times that suit everyone. We will then check in at a beautiful home that will be home to your beautiful wellness retreat. After you have unpacked and settled in. We will have a welcoming ceremony. This will include an introduction circle and icebreaker games. I will also introduce the retreat activities. You may then have the day to yourselves. I will provide a detailed information booklet about the surrounding areas. A Healthy dinner will be available. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are available. Enjoy the afternoon and evening. Recover from jetlag and we will see each other the next day. There will be a meditation session available to those who would like to join. We will visit a secluded beach to chat about our expectations for the weekend. You may also meditate, or have your own personal yoga session on the beach. Welcome to your home for the weekend. A bohemian-themed villa with unique spaces, designed to inspire a sense of peace and tranquillity while embracing bold and eclectic decor. From the vibrant, colourful textiles and patterns to the warm, natural wood accents, every element of the villa has been carefully selected to create a space that feels both cosy and alive. I hope you will enjoy this beautiful, bohemian haven and take advantage of all it offers. I am confident that you will find everything you need to have a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Day 2) Saturday - 30-minute Morning meditation and sound bowl session. - Breakfast from 8 to 9 am. 10 am: Emotional Education workshop "I AM'' - Journey to the self. Exploring non-duality. 13pm: - Kalk Bay - a charming fishing village with a lively harbour, boutiques and seafood restaurants - Boulders Beach - a secluded penguin colony located in a stunning coastal area. - Muizenberg - a laid-back beach town known for its vibrant surf culture and colourful beach huts. Evening: Dinner at the house (included) or dinner at a restaurant (at own cost). 30-minute wind-down meditation session with sound bowls. Free time for personal reflection and relaxation. Kalk Bay is a charming, historic fishing village located on the False Bay coast of Cape Town, South Africa. It is known for its vibrant arts and culture scene, with a thriving community of artists and musicians that lend a bohemian atmosphere to the area. The village is surrounded by rugged cliffs and the clear blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike. Visitors to Kalk Bay can explore its many unique boutiques, galleries, and vintage shops, as well as its colourful and eclectic mix of restaurants, bars, and cafes. The village is also home to the historic Kalk Bay Harbour, which is still used by local fishermen and is a popular spot for fishing, boat trips, and seal watching. In addition to its charming and quirky atmosphere, Kalk Bay is also known for its stunning natural beauty, with a number of scenic hiking trails and outdoor activities available in the surrounding mountains and coastline. Whether you are here to relax, explore, or simply soak up the local culture, Kalk Bay is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a unique and authentic experience in Cape Town.

Lions Head Path

Day 3: Sunday 5 am - (or earlier) Sunrise hike up Lion's Head. 9 am - Healthy, plant-based breakfast made by me. You don't have to lift a finger, relax and enjoy the meal. You have a long day ahead of you. 14:00 - Workshop on NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) - Led by a certified practitioner. - Individual sessions. - Group lunch and discussion - Afternoon meditation and sound bowl session. - Easy Sunset hike for some time to introspect about the day's learnings. - Dinner and a chat. Or you may wander off into a lovely spot in the house for some time. - If everyone would like to stay up late, we may watch a relevant documentary together. Lion's Head hike is a popular trail in Cape Town, South Africa. It is a moderate to strenuous hike that takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete. The trail offers scenic views of the city and the Atlantic Ocean. It is a steep climb but well worth it for the panoramic views from the top. It is recommended to wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring enough water. The trail is accessible year-round. - Dinner - Meditation and Sound Bowl session.

Chapman's Peak

Monday 7 am: Morning meditation and Sound Bowl session. 8 am: Breakfast in the morning 10 am: Reiki Healing session. Chapman's Peak Drive is a scenic drive located in Cape Town, South Africa. It is a 9 km long coastal road that winds along the cliffs of Chapman's Peak, offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and surrounding mountains. It is considered one of the most beautiful drives in the world and is a popular tourist attraction. The road is open year-round and offers several viewing areas and picnic spots along the way. Dinner & Peer sharing session Evening Meditation, Reflection and Sound Bowl session.
