Day Trip to Mount Titlis
Details zu diesem Trip
Hi Guys! During this 3 days weekend we are going to explore the fancy city of Zurich! We will meet around 1/2 PM, and on our first afternoon together, we will immediately head to the main destination of our gateway weekend: the Lindt Home of Chocolate! Then, on the morning of the second day,we will drive to Mount Titlis, one of the main peaks in the Alps. In the afternoon, instead, we will head towards the characteristic town of Lucerne. During the last morning together (remember to book your flight, or your train, in the afternoon if you want to join this activity), we willl finally explore the city center, fully immersing ourselves in the Swiss atmosphere.

But first… it’s-a me, Giulia! I'm the typical Italian girl, raised on Margherita Pizza 🍕 and weird hands gestures! I love meeting new people and getting to know new cultures. Whether you are looking for a new friend, a new mum or a new mascotte, I can be the one for you 😬!

Where are we staying? 🏡 Being only a 2-nights retreat, we are going to share all the same room ( BUT everyone will have his/her own personal bed), at a really nice hotel in Zurich, featuring a shared lounge, terrace, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. What about the transportation?🚙 We are going to move around mainly by car 🚗! I’ll be your private driver and we are going to use my own car, so we will only spend on gasoline/parking and you can completely forget about the car rental fees since the bolide is already included 😬! The trip costs include 💰:
 -2-Nights Hotel accommodation
 -Parking at the hotel
 -Lindt Home of Chocolate Entrance
-Round ticket for the cable cars (Mount Titlis) -Entrance to the Titlis glacier cave -Entrance to the Titlis Cliff Walk and the Titlis glacier cave -Free Wi-fi at the hotel -Travel Insurance (unluckily, for now, provided only for travellers from Germany and Austria)
 What is not included 💸:
-Flights/Train tickets -Gasoline/Parkings in the city
-Meals -Other activities not mentioned in “The trip costs include” -Travel Insurance (except travellers from Germany and Austria)

 ❕IMPORTANT GUIDELINES:
—>It will be important for this specific trip to be lightly equipped, as we will be sharing one car (Polo, Volkswagen) with the 4 of us 🤓! I suggest a hiking backpack (or at most a trolley size carry-on luggage) for the all load and a really small bag 🎒 for the daily explorations. PLEASE NOTE: --> I will pick you up at Zurich Central Station by car. For those flying into Switzerland, there is no problem, as Zurich Airport is very well connected to the central station by SBB/FFS trains, which take about 9-10 minutes to cover the approximately 8-10 km distance from the station.
—> As mentioned above, we will leave for the hotel once you all arrive at the meeting point in Zurich HB (Central Station). At the latest we will leave by lunchtime (or soon after), so it will be essential to book a flight (or a train) on the morning of September 25! As for the exact time of our first meeting, I’ll share it with you a couple of weeks before the actual trip, but you can consider around 1/2 PM for now.
—> Regarding the travel arrangements for this trip, the preferred TripMate is a woman, as we are alle sharing the same room. However if you are a man and you are really willing to join the trip, we can discuss it together to see if it’s still feasible. For detailed trip stops, take a look at bottom of the page in the "Trip Itinerary" section! For any other question or curiosity don’t mind to send me a message here on JoinMyTrip 🤗 Can’t wait to meet you soon, Giulia *The accommodation and all the activities planned may be subject to variation based on both the weather and the number of TripMates. Every change to the original plan will be notified in advance.

Lindt Home of Chocolate

Tag 1-2
During our first afternoon together, after checking-in at the hotel around 3 PM, we will directly head to the main highlight of our trip: chocolate 🍫! While in the museum, we will journey back to the origins of chocolate and experience how cocoa conquered Europe! We’ll follow its manufacturing process in modern test facilities. We will be surprised by a spectacular 9Mts chocolate fountain, as well as by an interactive tour all about the Swiss cultural heritage!
And, finally, we’ll access to an unlimited chocolate tasting!

Titlis

Tag 2
The day will be entirely dedicated to a trip out of town, divided into two main stops! In the morning, after a very early start, we will drive to Mount Titlis, one of Switzerland's most famous tourist attractions and a real must for anyone visiting Zurich. At over 3,200 meters above sea level, it is one of the main peaks in the Alps. Here we will climb the mountain on a spectacular trip on a couple different cable cars, and at the summit we will take the opportunity to explore the glacier (in a real 150-meter-long cave) and cross the magnificent suspension bridge. PLEASE NOTE: TITLIS Rotair (cable car) is closed from 17 August to 11 December 2026. HOWEVER during this period, the peak can still be reached daily with the new TITLIS Connect cable car (and all the other activities at the top are granted). But take in mind that if you are joining the trip especially for the Rotair cable car, this specific appointment may not be the one for you.

Zürich

Tag 2-3
During our last morning together, up early, we will venture through the streets of downtown Zurich! Among the various highlights of our explorations: -Niederdorf: part of the old town, is known for its medieval streets and squares and cathedrals. Boutiques and fine-dining restaurants dot the area, alongside cocktail bars and a few nightclubs. -Grossmünster: Zurich Cathedral, from where the Swiss-German Protestant Reformation began. Its tall towers are recognizable from all parts of the city. -Sechseläutenplatz: this very large square, faces the city's lake, and this is where the Opera House is located, surrounded by elegant buildings.
-Fraumünster Church: another prominent church in the city center -Bahnhofstrasse: this street is one of Zurich's main streets as well as number one when it comes to shopping. One mile long, it's is dotted with clothing, chocolate, furniture and souvenir stores. -Lindenhof: top a hill overlooking the city, is a quiet and sheltered spot with a magical view of the Limmat River.
PLEASE NOTE: do not forget to book your flight/train late in the afternoon (not before 4 PM at least) if you want to join this last activity of the trip!
