Wilfredy Leitón Salazar

For the last half decade I have fully dedicated myself to learn and teach about coffee culture, specialty coffee, brewing methods, espresso extracting, coffee bevarages, coffee cupping and roasting. I teach coffee lessons for the Costa Rican Coffee Institute (ICAFE) and was a technical judge at the 2023 Costa Rican Barista competition.

I am currently working on my family´s coffee farm, roasting our coffee and shipping it worldwide, teaching coffee culture and brewing courses at my Montanoa Coffee Academy in Monteverde, Costa Rica.

Coffee farms, mills, roasteries and shops are my favorite! Knowing a place by its food, and connecting with locals in an off the beaten path way.

I travel to meet new people, to promote and taste good coffee, to eat the world and share with other humans.
