Trip Itinerary
1
Marrakesh
Day 1-3
Marrakech will be our meeting point! All accommodation info will be communicated to you the days before departure in the special WhatsApp group I will create! Day 1 is dedicated to arrival: we will try to wait for everyone and start getting to know each other and prepare for our adventure :) Day 2 will instead be dedicated to exploring this magnificent city and its historic Medina, its narrow streets, as well as the famous Jardin Majorelle! In the evening, we will have our delicious typical welcome dinner all together.
2
Casablanca
Day 3
On day 3 we will drive to Fes! On the way, we will stop to visit the famous White Mosque of Casablanca, and after a snack, we will depart to our destination. Nb. Due to schedule and holiday issues, the mosque may not be visitable; in case it is, we will devote a few extra hours to visiting Fes.
3
Fes
Day 3-5
The remainder of day 3 and day 4, will be entirely devoted to exploring the imperial city of Fes and its famous leather tanneries set on the roofs of old houses, its wonderful historic palaces and its winding but picturesque alleyways in typical Moroccan style.
4
Merzouga Desert
Day 5-6
In the morning of Day 5 we will set off for the desert of Merzouga, crossing the Bedouin red mountains in a minivan and driving along breathtaking roads that will offer glimpses of the real, deep Morocco that you don't expect. We will arrive at our tented camp, where we can take a camel ride at sunset over the desert dunes, and we will then have dinner around the fire, under the stars with the Bedouins (I don't know if you've heard of them, but in the desert the stars are so bright it feels like you're touching them...). Hands down, an unforgettable experience.
5
Todra River
Day 6
We will devote some more time to the desert of Merzouga on day 6, which will wake us up with its immense landscapes and a delicious Berber breakfast outside the tents. We will then resume our road to Marrakech. But that's not the end of it! On the way, we will stop to visit the incredible Todra Gorges....
6
Dadès Gorges
Day 6-7
...and the mountainous Dades Gorges, both a masterpiece of nature. Here, surrounded by mountains and breathtaking scenery, we will stop to sleep in a traditional riad that directly overlooks the mountain walls-a sight for sore eyes.
7
Ouarzazate
Day 7
On day 7 we will arrive in Marrakech in the evening, but we could not leave Morocco without visiting Ouarzazate, a place that is located in the beautiful Valley of Roses, where numerous kasbahs (i.e., fortified citadels) stand. Ait Ben Haddou is a kasbah located 30 kilometers, before arriving in Ouarzazate, from Marrakech, which precisely because of its beauty has been the set of such famous films as Lawrence of Arabia, The Gladiator, The Mummy, and The Jewel of the Nile.
8
Marrakesh
Day 7-8
Final return to Marrakech, where we will have one last evening together to say goodbye and thank each other for our wonderful experiences! On the morning of the 8th, everyone is free to make their own way to the airport at their own pace or continue on their own route!
