Details about this trip
Through this trip, I want to show you all the unique places, sights, and food that this city has to offer. We will stay in a beautiful hostel in the historical center of Athens, visit multiple sites like the Acropolis and Parthenon, walk through the center and explore the beautiful neighborhoods, taste local dishes like souvlaki and moussaka, drink the famous Greek tsipouro and ouzo, discover the traditional nightlife and spend a day at the beach!

About me! Hey!! I am Foti, living in Athens enjoying the sun and food. I grew up in Australia but have always been exploring the world. I moved to Athens 2 years ago and now I'm living here, exploring small hidden corners, searching for Greek traditional gems in the city. This is the perfect trip if you want a bit of everything from beaches to historical sites bars and nightlife.

Details about the accommodation: It is a cosy hostel that is very central and close to public transport and just a walk away to restaurants, cafes and the historical sites. It includes a rooftop bar to socialize and get to know some people and have fun. It will be separate beds in a shared room with safety lockers and a shared bathroom. Day 1-2
As everyone will arrive at different times, we will all meet at the accommodation. When everyone is together we will go for a welcome local lunch/dinner to meet and get to know everybody and to decide what is best for the remainder of the day.

Acropolis

Day 2-3
Day two We will be walking the streets of Monastiraki through the old flea markets and quirky streets. After we will explore more deeply into the historical side of Athens walking up the Acropolis and seeing multiple ancient ruins, the Parthenon, and a beautiful 360 view of Athens. Since it will be a Saturday night we will be going out for a bar/club.

Vouliagmeni

Day 3-4
Day 3 we will be heading to the crystal clear waters in Vouliagmeni for a nice and relaxing beach day where we can chill out. We will head to Vouliagmeni Lake after for a change of scenery. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants to try over there and get a good feel of the sea. Finishing the day on Filopappou Hill for another stunning sunset with a view of Athens.

Plaka

Day 4-5
Day 4 will go to the famous Panathenaic stadium that held the first modern Olympic games and get to run around the track and feel like an athlete. We will visit Zeus's temple and experience a Greek mythological site. Going into the afternoon we will walk the streets of Plaka that has all the souvenir shops you need to find any gifts for family or friends or even for yourself.

Day 5
On the last day depending on everyone's departure times we can all decide together how we would all like to spend the last part of this great trip together whether we eat, relax or explore around Athens.
