Hello, I am Lavinia! I am from Romania, but I have 7 years living in London. I worked as a property manager for the last 5 years, but my work didn't give me the option to work remotely, so I ended my employment to take a break and catch up with my travels and make new friends. What's the plan? -Thursday: We plan to arrive in Zagreb Thursday afternoon/evening -Friday: we will explore the city of Zagreb, visiting the attractions, museums, and best restaurants. -Saturday and Sunday: we will be in the Plitvice lakes area, enjoying the beautiful nature and admiring the views. - Monday: we will be back in Zagreb for a last meal and catching our flights We will book a hotel for two nights in Zagreb, so Thursday and Friday. From Zagreb to Plitvice, we can either take a Flixbus or a rented car on Saturday morning We will get 1–2 nights accommodation close to Plitvice National Park, so we have time to hike and enjoy nature and the lakes. Saturday evening we should definitely have accommodation there, but we can also consider leaving Zagreb Friday evening to get a hotel close to the national park for two nights. This way, we can start hiking early morning on Saturday to avoid the crowds and get the best photos, then Sunday to relax and return to Zagreb. If not, we will do our best to get to the park as early as we can on Saturday and explore some more on Sunday. There are several routes to choose from and some include boat tour or bus shuttle, so we can walk as little or as much as we want. From Plitvice to Zagreb, we will take the same transportation back on Sunday evening, and we will get a hotel for the evening. Monday, we might be able to go to a museum or grab breakfast/lunch together before leaving to the airport. The price includes: - Accommodation - Transport between stops - 2 days entrance ticket to the national park See you in Croatia!

We will explore the city and walk to see the main attractions such as: - A walk in the parks (Zrinjevac) and the botanical garden - The world’s shortest funicular railway - The Lotrščak tower - the Strossmartre promenade

Plitvice Lakes National Park

Tag 2-4

Essentially, the park is split into two main parts – the Lower Lakes (near Entrance 1 on the right-hand side of the map) and the Upper Lakes (near Entrance 2 on the left-hand side). Between the two sections you will find the large Jezero Kozjak main lake. There are 7 walking routes that are split between the Upper and Lower Lakes of the National Park – some of the Plitvice Lakes routes circle just the Lower Lakes, some just circle the Upper Lakes, and some circle both the Upper and Lower Lakes. There are two entrances to the park – entrance 1 & entrance 2. All of the Plitvice Lakes routes end at the same entrance they start at. There are three boat terminals and three shuttle bus stops that bring you between different parts of the park. Depending on which route option we end up taking, we may be taking nearly all the transportation options around the park or none of them at all.

We will be back in Zagreb Sunday evening, and we will get accommodation for 1 night. As the last evening of our trip, we plan to relax, have a fancy dinner in the city or try a cocktail bar and discuss our adventure and share photos.
