Water and Sand Adventures in Dubai, UAE 🇦🇪

We will arrive in Dubai Airport and meet there. We will go together to our apartment and have our first meal together and get to know each other. As usual on my trips, the first day will be relaxed because we are all likely pretty jet-lagged. But we can walk around and see what is around our hotel and avoid crowds for at least the first day, or just swim.

On day 2, we will visit the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa. Standing at 828 m tall (more than 160 stories), try not to break your neck looking all the way to the top. But don't worry. We will get to the highest observation deck in the world that should provide us with lovely views of Dubai. We will have a guide and be able to have a unique experience exploring Dubai with motion sensors. On level 124, we will be able to get a closer look at Dubai through high-powered telescopes. On level 125, we will have 360 views and virtual reality. Do you have the need for speed? Burj Khalifa has the fast elevators in the world! After a meal, we will try out scuba diving at the aquarium. First we will have a safety course, so it's a perfect time to try on flippers and see if they fit you if you've never dived before. After we feel comfortable in a caged environment, we will be let loose in the 10 million liter aquarium. After all that, we will do whatever we want with the free time we have left in the day.

On day 3, we will begin with breakfast at the flat in order to have an early start to the day because the Camel Museum is only open until 2pm. But the good news is that the Camel Museum is FREE! Before we venture out into the desert and see camels in the wild, we will learn all about them in this museum, their contribution to UAE society, history, and camel racing. After having lunch, we will go to the souks at Deira and look around. Buy something if you want, and they have spices there if you like to cook.

On day 4, we will take Dubai metro and then walk to the monorail station to go to the palm islands. We can only see palm island shape from the air, though. But we will be able to gaze at views of Dubai and luxury resorts as we walk around the northern part of the island.

On day 5, we will eat breakfast before being picked up and driven to the desert, where we will have a dune buggy safari tour. We will drive over sand dunes and valleys in this unique desert adventure. Hopefully we will also see camels!

On day 6 and 7, we will have more free time. Do what we did not do before. Go to beach. Swim. Enjoy our last days in Dubai before parting ways...until the next time we meet on an adventure! This is a free beach for swimming and picnics. We can spend a lot of time here relaxing when we are not sightseeing or going on water and desert adventures. There are also cafés and restaurants here to experience local and tourist Dubai at the same time.
