We start in Hanoi, exploring the Old Quarter, French Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, Train Street, Long Bien Bridge, the Ho Chi Minh area, and key temples and museums. Expect a mix of history, architecture, street food and city photography. We then venture into two authentic craft villages: the colourful Quang Phu Cau incense village 🌸 and the traditional Ban Yen Nhan soy sauce village 🫙, giving you a close look at rural craftsmanship and daily life. The trip continues in Ninh Binh, known as “Ha Long Bay on land”. Here you’ll experience boat tours through limestone mountains, hidden pagodas, sunrise viewpoints, nature reserves and peaceful rice fields. The aim is to combine culture, nature and photography in a full, well-planned route without losing the fun along the way. Please note that small changes to the itinerary may happen due to weather, traffic or local conditions. Any adjustments will always be discussed openly within the group, ensuring the best experience for everyone. Hanoi

We start our journey in Vietnam’s vibrant capital, Hanoi. After arrival and hotel check-in, we take time to get oriented and ease into the city. Depending on arrival time, we explore the Old Quarter with its narrow streets, street food stalls and local life. This first stop sets the tone for the trip: active, curious and immersive, but with enough flexibility after a long travel day. This day is dedicated to Hanoi’s cultural and historical highlights. We explore Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, the Temple of Literature, Hoa Lo Prison, St. Joseph’s Cathedral and the French Quarter. We also visit Train Street and Long Bien Bridge. Expect a full day of walking, city photography, street scenes and local food. It’s an active day with many stops, so comfortable shoes are essential.

We leave the city to visit two authentic craft villages around Hanoi. In Quang Phu Cau, we see the famous incense-making village with its colorful displays and traditional production methods. We continue to Ban Yen Nhan, known for its traditional soy sauce production. This day offers a deep look into rural craftsmanship and daily life, with great photo opportunities and cultural insights. Travel is done by private vehicle.

Ninh Bình

We travel from Hanoi to Ninh Binh, often called “Ha Long Bay on land”. After check-in, we explore the surrounding landscape with limestone mountains, rivers and rice fields. Depending on timing, we may take a gentle walk through Tam Coc village or enjoy sunset views. The pace shifts from city energy to calm nature.

We explore Van Long Nature Reserve, a peaceful wetland area known for its calm boat rides and dramatic limestone scenery. Nearby, we visit small rural villages, including traditional bamboo fish trap making areas, offering a rare look into everyday village life. This stop focuses on authenticity, nature and slower moments away from tourist crowds.

We start very early for a sunrise trip to Long Coc Tea Hills. Rolling green hills, misty valleys and local tea pickers create a stunning landscape, especially in the early morning light. This stop is ideal for photography and nature lovers. After spending time in the hills, we return to Hanoi for the afternoon.

Depending on flight times, there is free time for last-minute shopping, coffee stops or rest before transfer to the airport. This marks the end of an intensive, well-structured and experience-rich journey through northern Vietnam.
