Triberg
Tag 1
For those joining us from Berlin, we start early on Thursday morning (Meet at Berlin HBF at 5:30 am) to take a train down to Triberg (involves 3 trains and we arrive in Triberg at 12:45pm on Thursday afternoon). Triberg is known as the Cuckoo capital of the world and we be visiting the World’s largest cuckoo clock along with a short hike to one of Germany’s highest waterfalls (time permitting).

Schönau im Schwarzwald
Tag 1-2
We then head to the cute little town of Schönau (mix of trains & buses) where we will be staying for the next 2 nights in a hotel. Schönau is located in the heart of the black forest and at the foot of the Belchen, the most beautiful panoramic mountain in the southern Black Forest.

Belchen
Tag 2
We hike to the summit of the Belchen mountain on some parts of the Belchensteig that has been voted the most beautiful walking trail in Germany. Belchen is one of the most beautiful mountains and the third highest mountain in Black forest (Schwarz Wald), offering panoramic views of the Rhine and on a clear day all the way to the Alps far away. Once at the summit, we capture the stunning sights of Black forest before grabbing a bite/drink at the historic Belchenhaus and then making our way down to another historic hut Gasthof Belchen-Multen and possibly having a “black forest cake” before catching the bus to head back to our hotel.

Schönau im Schwarzwald
Tag 2-3
Once we making our way down Belchen mountain, we head to another historic hut Gasthof Belchen-Multen (time permitting) and possibly having a “black forest cake” before catching the bus to head back to our hotel. Optional - For the super eager hikers, there is an option to skip the bus & hike to the hotel in Schönau im Schwarzwald as well.

Baden-Baden
Tag 3
We checkout and make our way to Baden-Baden (one of the Great Spa Towns of Europe) using public transport (mix of Bus & trains) to explore this beautiful town filled with stunning French architecture with the option of a hike that takes you along ruins from the Middle Ages, offering a unique panoramic view of Baden-Baden and the Rhine valley finishing in the sunny town of Ebersteinburg. Jfyi Baden-Baden is part of the transnational UNESCO World Heritage Site under the name "Great Spa Towns of Europe", because of its famous spas and architecture that exemplifies the popularity of spa towns in Europe in the 18th through 20th centuries. The Great Spa Towns of Europe is a transnational World Heritage Site consisting of a selection of 11 spa towns across seven European countries (Baden-Baden is one of 3 in Germany) .

Heidelberg
Tag 3-4
We reach Heidelberg at night from Baden-Baden and head straight to the hotel where we will be staying for the one night. Jfyi Heidelberg is a very lively university town with an active night-life, so there is an option to check this out on Saturday night. On the last day (Sunday) we will explore Heidelberg, one of Germany’s most beautiful towns where we visit the impressive castle ruins, castle gardens for a fantastic view of the city. We take a walk through the baroque-style Old Town and view the historic stone bridge and then take a short hike in the Philosopher's walk for further impressive views of Heidelberg. We wrap up our trip by 5:30pm on Sunday night and then say our good bye's and head back home.
