Do you want to discover Valencia with a local guide? Join me on this amazing 5-day trip, and I will show you my city, the beautiful Mediterranean city of Valencia. Usually, when I tell my new friends that I'm from Valencia, no one knows where it is. However, when they come and visit me, they fall in love with the city and always want to come back. Yes, Valencia is a hidden Mediterranean gem; it is a city full of history with beautiful architecture, a charming atmosphere, amazing Spanish gastronomy, and long sandy beaches. And not less importantly, it is the place where the famous Spanish paella was originally created. It's not just me who says that Valencia is an incredibly beautiful city. According to the ranking of InterNations - the world's largest expat community - Valencia has been chosen as the best city to live in the entire world. Are you still not curious to discover this city?" My plan with this trip is to bring together a group of open-minded individuals, aged between 23 and 35, who are passionate about exploring new places, immersing themselves in the local culture and gastronomy, and embracing the opportunity to meet new people and create unforgettable memories together.

About me! Hi, my name is Angela Aparisi. I'm 29 years old, and as you already know, I grew up in Valencia, Spain. I am passionate about traveling and love sharing the best places I discover with friends and now, with the entire JoinMyTrip community. While I'm new to this platform, this won't be my first time planning trips. I studied tourism and have worked in various roles within the tourism sector, organizing trips and excursions. Currently, I'm launching my own project to assist people in organizing their own trips, aiming to empower individuals to travel easier, safer, and better! Details about the accommodation: You will be staying in a twin shared room with two separate beds, as well as a private small kitchen and toilet per room. The apartments are located in an area that is well connected to the city center of Valencia, just a 10-minute metro ride away. I will always take your preferences into consideration regarding sharing the room with someone of the same gender. Welcome to Valencia! I will welcome you at the airport and we will go with the rest of the group to the accommodation where everyone will be staying during the trip. This day is only planned for arrival and to meet the rest of the group. I will Facilitate icebreaker games and introductions to help the group bond and get to know each other. During the evening, we can have our first meal together!

Ciutat Vella

Tag 2-3

Our first day exploring Valencia. During this day we will embark on a guided tour to explore the city's iconic buildings, discovering its rich history and culture. After this, you will experience the traditional Valencian drink, Orchata, paired with fartons at an authentic establishment. In the evening, we can gauge the group's mood and choose between a relaxing beach visit or enjoying drinks in lively city spots.

Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias

Tag 3-4

Get ready for an exciting bike ride as we explore the bed of the Old River, now transformed into a sprawling park in the heart of the city. We will rent bikes and we will pass by the iconic Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, showcasing modernistic architectural marvels. In the evening, once again considering the group's vibe and weather conditions, we can opt for a relaxing beach excursion or unwind on a terrace with a refreshing beer or wine, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of Valencia.

Albufera de Valencia

Tag 4-5

On this day, we will embark on a journey to discover one of Valencia's most unique landscapes: La Albufera de Valencia. This beautiful natural lagoon, situated just a short distance from the city, captivates with its stunning views, rich wildlife, and serene ambiance. Our itinerary includes a visit to a traditional restaurant where we'll indulge in the iconic dish of paella. Following that, we'll have the opportunity to relax and swim at the nearby beach, admire the traditional valencian architecture of Las Barracas, and conclude the day with a breathtaking sunset experience aboard a charming small boat.

On this final day, it's time to bid farewell. We will check out of the hotel, and I will personally accompany you to the airport. If your flight is scheduled for the evening, you'll have the entire day free to enjoy as you please. Whether you prefer to relax at the beach, go shopping, or engage in any other activity of your choice, this day is yours to make the most of before your departure.
