Hi! I'm Gabriele, a 23 years old Roman native who moved to Spain for academic studies about 5 years ago. Although I like to consider myself a cosmopolitan, I can never spend too much time away from my beloved mother city. I frequently took friends of mine to visit because I feel joy in sharing the charm of the ancient world's capital, but also because I get to feel like a tourist myself every time again; I just can't help getting back to the usual feeling of amazement that I get on each occasion, as if it was my own first time seeing Rome's majestic monuments. Now to the experience's plan itself! During this week-long trip we will explore the eternal city through and through; we will enjoy our very own apartment, located alongside the city center and even though we will likely share rooms between us, comfort, privacy and relax will be ensured by the place's space and hospitality. Rome is an enormous city, but we'll manage to cover the most important spots thanks to an efficiently organized agenda, which will lead us to iconic food stops, breathtaking look points and laid-back atmospheres all while getting to know the history behind the countless, astonishing monuments and statues that populate Rome. If you love history and sightseeing, but you're also someone who enjoys getting inside of the new cultures you meet by observing the lifestyle, enjoying the local food and getting a peek of what it means to live in the "world's capital", this trip is for you! In fact, this trip is meant for everyone who wants to have an incredibly pleasant and insightful experience as much as getting to feel Rome's glory days and witnessing one of a kind views like the Colosseo, Castel Sant'Angelo, the Vatican and "chi piu' ne ha piu' ne metta!" What is included? Virtually everything is included in the listed price (except for your plane tickets): guided tours to the Colosseum and the Vatican, every day's main meals and accommodation, as well as transportation between our stops. Considering how complete and thorough the plan is, this trip is going to be your life's best occasion to finally get to see the city "which every road leads to"! After all, as they say, Rome is one of those places you need to see through the eyes of a local to fully experience its magic, and your personal Cicero will accompany you through every step alongside those time-honored roads ;)!

Trastevere

Tag 1-2
During our first day, we will take a walk along the historical neighborhood of Trastevere, located right alongside the Tiber river. This lively area is soaked in the city's golden days, providing you the opportunity to breathe Ancient Rome's air and life at the same time as eat the city's very own typical Trapizzino. We will get to see one of Rome's most remarkable viewpoints by the sunset, and we'll dine in one of the most favored, fair priced and best tasting restaurants of the city. Last but not least, before heading back to our apartment, we will pass by Castel Sant'Angelo and experience Rome's nightlife by taking a drink in the popular bar and pub area of Piazza Trilussa.
2

Colosseum

Tag 2-3
Second day's highlight is going to be the visit to the Colosseum. We will enter into the colossal building and follow a short guided trip to get to know more about the history behind this magnificent monument. After getting out we will follow the ancient Via dei Fori Imperiali, take a look at the Roman ruins and end up in Piazza Venezia, where the more-recent, massive Vittoriano building looms. Finally, after grabbing an express pasta on-the-go near Piazza di Spagna, we will stroll along Via del Corso, the most famous commercial street of Rome, for whoever wants to indulge in some shopping.
3

Vatican City

Tag 3-4
On this third day, we will visit the Vatican City and Museums. The Vatican, the world's smallest sovereign state, overlooks the historic center of Rome. This independent little state is home to some of Italy's most famous works of art, many of which are on public display for those visiting the Vatican Museums. The city is also home to a number of excellent restaurants and souvenir stores and, of course, the well-known St. Peter's Basilica. Without any doubt, the Vatican Museums' most impressive asset is the Sistine Chapel in the Apostolic Palace. When visiting the Museums and its 54 galleries, the Sistine Chapel will be the last attraction you visit to end on a high note with a supreme example of Renaissance art. This place of worship is able to captivate and amaze visitors from all over the world. Michelangelo's frescoes adorn its ceilings with paintings depicting stories from the lives of Jesus and Moses, easily visible on the east, north and south walls.
4

Trevi Fountain

Tag 4-5
Featured in countless iconic movies, paintings and photographs, The Trevi Fountain is the largest and most scenic of Rome's most important fountains. Having become one of the undisputed symbols of the city, the millions of tourists who visit the capital each year set the Trevi Fountain as a mandatory stop. The fountain constitutes the exhibition of the Acqua Vergine, the aqueduct that Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa led to Rome in 19 B.C. to feed the baths. After having visited this spectacular fountain, we will enjoy what's said to be Rome's best ice cream in the historical Giolitti gelateria, passing by the stunning Piazza Navona and visiting Palazzo Chigi (the headquarters of Italian government) from the outside. Lastly, we will end our evening in the romantic Piazza della Rotonda, which hosts the incredible Pantheon - one of the architectural masterpieces found in the Italian capital, and also the best preserved building of ancient Rome.
5

Circus Maximus

Tag 5
This last day will be one mostly spent outside in nature. Our first stop will be Circo Massimo: the largest spectacle building of antiquity and one of the largest of all time (600m long by 140m wide). At the time of the Tarquini kings, the Valle Murcia, the wide valley between the Palatine and Aventine hills, was used as a place for chariot races, but it was not until Julius Caesar that a real circus in masonry was built. Secondly, the near municipal rose garden will await us for a reinvigorating walk among these beautiful flowers. We will then head towards Villa Borghese and pass the rest of our afternoon having a relaxing time inside Villa Borghese - the green lung of Rome. It is nature, but also art and history. Here we can enjoy a nice break during our sightseeing tour, admiring Rome from above or visiting one of the most beautiful museums of the capital, Galleria Borghese. Its wide and comfortable internal roads will allow you to enjoy it on foot or by bike; the twin sister of the Gianicolo hill, looming at sunset over the center of Rome, is an example of how nature approaches with curiosity to discover what to see in Rome.
