After traveling all over the world, I am convinced that Ecuador, a small but diverse country known for its stunning landscapes, rich indigenous culture, and unique wildlife, is the perfect destination for adventurous travelers seeking for a life-changing experience. My mission is to raise awareness about the urgent need to protect our planet and its diverse cultures from the effects of climate change. By booking this trip, you're contributing to the protection of the indigenous territories and communities in the Andes and in the Amazon rainforest. Together we will explore the biodiversity of Ecuador's enchanting landscapes, from the mighty Andes mountains to the legendary Amazon rainforest. A cultural mosaic of ancient traditions and vibrant communities like you have never experienced before. Requirements: - Good character, empathy and being able to work as part of a team - Average fitness level. This trip involves physical activity in high altitude environments - Some basic knowledge of Spanish language will be positively considered - Adventurous and open mindset. Tolerance and respect for other cultures and lifestyles What's NOT included? - Flights to and from Ecuador to your home country. - Your personal expenses (For example: drinks on a night out, snacks, souvenirs, extra activities, personal equipment, tips for guides, taxis or transportation during your free time) - Health insurance (if you're not from Germany or Austria) What's INCLUDED? (Spoiler: pretty much everything else) - All activities in the description above, local guides and entrance fees - All accommodations. Hotels, hostels, lodges, camps, apartments - All transportation: bus transfers, boats, internal flights to the jungle, private drivers and fuel - Two meals a day: Always breakfast or brunch + lunch or dinner (according to each day's plan)

We'll start our trip in the vibrant capital city of Quito, nestled in the Andes Mountains. Get ready to explore the city's colorful colonial architecture, bustling markets, and lively nightlife. Some friends of mine will join us to make you feel like a local, tell you everything about the history of their city and help you understand the dynamic social and political context of their country.

Puyo

Tag 2
From Quito, we will travel by private transport to Puyo. The gateway city to the Amazon rainforest. There, we will meet our guide, who will arrange all the preparations for our adventure with a native community deeper in the jungle.

Oriente

Tag 2-5
Our adventure continues into the depths of the world's largest rainforest. We will learn the ancient wisdom and knowledge of an indigenous tribe, navigate winding rivers, hike through lush forests where we'll encounter exotic wildlife and rare plant species and discover the secrets of the forest that have been passed down through generations through a life-changing Ayahuasca ceremony.

Baños de Agua Santa

Tag 5-6
After three days in the jungle, we will take a dip in the soothing waters of the city of Baños, where you can unwind and rejuvenate your body and soul in hot springs and have a very well deserved break. Then, we'll take a short but thrilling hike to the Pailón del Diablo waterfall, one of the most stunning waterfalls in the country, surrounded by lush forests and breathtaking views and finish the day enjoying a fun night out before the next leg of the trip.

Riobamba

Tag 6-8
From Riobamba we will do an incredible mountain bike tour in the Chimborazo National Park, home to the highest peak in Ecuador and one of the highest mountains in the world. We'll bike through the Andean highlands, surrounded by stunning views of the snow-capped mountains and majestic valleys. You'll get the chance to see herds of wild llamas and vicuñas grazing in the vast grasslands, and we'll stop for a picnic lunch with breathtaking views.

Sangay National Park

Tag 8-10
An all-inclusive 3 day 2 nights guided hike in one of the most breathtaking and off the beaten path trekking routes in the Ecuadorian Andes: ''El Altar'', an extinct volcano in Sangay National Park surrounded by multicolored lagoons, giant waterfalls and glacial lakes. Camping equipment and all meals included.

Playa Montañita

Tag 10-12
After some epic but exhausting days, it's time to relax in the town of Montañita, a coastal surfing paradise in Ecuador that's known for its beautiful beaches, vibrant culture and delicious seafood. As we explore the town, we'll discover its colorful street art, charming shops, and bustling marketplaces. We'll sample the local cuisine, which is known for its fresh seafood, exotic fruits, and refreshing drinks. We'll also experience the town's vibrant nightlife, with its lively bars, music, and dancing. Visit to ''Isla de Plata'' for snorkeling and turtle watching + one surf lesson and rental of equipment will be included for those of you who want to catch some waves and discover the local fauna.

Plata Island

Visit to ''Isla de Plata'' for snorkeling and turtle watching. This is a small island off Ecuador's central coast, near the town of Puerto López. Part of Machalilla National Park, the uninhabited island features beaches, headlands and shrubland. It's known for its many marine birds, like blue-footed and masked boobies, plus Galápagos albatrosses.

Mindo Valley

Tag 12-14
Our last stop before going back to Quito will be the lush Mindo Valley, a hidden gem in the Ecuadorian cloud forest that's known for its incredible biodiversity, stunning natural beauty, and thrilling adventure activities. From toucans and hummingbirds to butterflies and monkeys, the Mindo Valley is home to an incredible array of exotic creatures that you won't find anywhere else in the world.

Quito

Tag 14-15
After coming back from Mindo, we will finish the trip in Quito, where we will have time to say goodbye and wish everyone a safe trip back home! Ecuador's capital, sits high in the Andean foothills at an altitude of 2,850m. Constructed on the foundations of an ancient Incan city, it’s known for its well-preserved colonial center, rich with 16th- and 17th-century churches and other structures blending European, Moorish and indigenous styles.
