The Pyramids and beyond: from Cairo to remote Siwa oasis in the Western Desert

Hello 👋🏼 I'm Juliana, a 37-year-old Brazilian residing in Berlin for the past 5 years. I'm a traveler since my teenage years, and I've been all over the world for tourism, studies, work and different projects, all occasions where trips were organized by myself. I'm so glad to having come across JoinMyTrip and to be able to welcome like-minded people into my explorations 😁 I fell in love with Egypt a couple of years ago and have visited the country a few times ever since. I'm organising a 6-day journey to one of my favourite spots in the world, from Cairo to Siwa oasis. This journey is about getting in touch with ancestry and culture, with the magnetism and introspective powers of the desert (one of my favourite biomes) and increasing our perspectives towards different ways of living and towards our own lives. Sounds deep? Well, it should! This is not your obvious itinerary in Egypt. SO, WHAT WILL HAPPEN ON THIS JOURNEY? 😉🤔😌 - In Cairo, we'll visit the highlights of Giza Plateau and the city of Cairo with an incredible tour guide that will lead us into a storytelling of the Ancient days that is interesting and informative (no only-dates and boring guides here.) - In Siwa oasis you'll be in the company of 11 tribes of the Amazigh or Berber people - nowadays the descendants of the pre-Arab inhabitants of North Africa; - You'll enjoy natural fresh and hot water springs; - You'll visit ruins that tell the history of the oasis as far back as it can be remembered; - You'll swim in the unbelievable salt pools; - You'll walk endless fields of date palm trees; - You'll watch epic sunsets practically on a daily basis; - You'll find fossils from a time when desert was sea; - You'll camp in the sand dunes of the Sahara, sleep under the stars in Berber style; - You'll learn about the local culture and crafts - You'll have some surprises!
