Perfect. After our round trip, you will know where you would like to spend the rest of your time in Sri Lanka. In most cases, it is the Southern part. That's exactly where our trip ends. The accommodation will be mixed categories. Most part of the trip would be a group experience. However, the plan is to also let you have few days to explore yourself. Sri Lanka has lot of culture, adventure, pristine beaches, amazing food and lot more to explore. We will try our best to have a bit of everything in our trip. After arriving in Colombo Int. Airport we will spent 1-2 nights in Colombo. Colombo is normally the transit point upon arrival or before departure. After Colombo we will go towards North central to see the wonders of Sri Lanka. The historical capital to the still standing thousands of years old ruines. After seeing the historical wonders, we will be visiting Ella (The central highlands of Sri Lanka) Ella is known for the beautiful views, Tea Plantations, the train tracks and some breathtaking hikes. The night/early morning temperature sometimes can get bit chilly, so take one sweater :) While in Ella, we will do a sunrise hike, a waterfall/stream exploration and visit some nice cafes. After few days in Ella, We will travel towards the south. On the way, we will visit one of the best wildlife spot. the Udawala National Park Colombo -Financial Capitol Dambulla /Cave temple - UNESCO site. Sigiriya/Lions rock - UNESCO site. Polonnaruwa /Historical capital of Sri Lanka - UNESCO site. (If time allows) Ella - Tea Plantatations and the breathtaking views. Little Adams Peak Udawalawa National park Coconut tree swing and much more. I left the Island and lived in several countries Asia,Europe, Africa & the Middle east, until I started calling Vienna my second Home. Colombo
Tag 1-3
After arriving in Colombo Int. Airport we will spend 1-2 nights in either Mount Lavinia. or Colpetty this is generally the transit point upon arrival or before departure. We will stay away from the busy capitol but still close enough to discover the hustle and bustle of the commercial capitol, populated with 7-8 million people. A Tuk Tuk experience is a must do.

Dambulla
Tag 3-4
This would be our second stop. Dambulla Cave temple is a Unesco world heritage site. Its construction is dating back to the 2nd century BC. The art and its history makes you speechless. The most impressive and preserved cave temple in Sri Lanka.

Sigiriya
Tag 4-5
The word Sigiriya or the Sinhagiri means the Lion's Rock where you have to climb up 1200 steps before you reach the Lion Rock Fortress on top of Sigiriya. There are several platforms that break up the steps and allow for a little break if you need it.

Polonnaruwa

Polonnaruwa is the Island's 2nd largest kingdom. Today the ancient city of Polonnaruwa remains one of the best planned Archeological relic sites in the country, standing testimony to the discipline and greatness of the Kingdom's first rulers. Its beauty and serenity was captured in the Duran Duran music video Save a Prayer in 1982. The ancient city of Polonnaruwa has been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. The Lankathilaka temple and a colossal statue of the Buddha made from stone is located here.

Udawalawe National Park

Udawalawe is undoubtedly the best place in Sri Lanka to see wild Asian Elephants throughout the year: there are about 500 elephants in the park and they often roam in herds of up to 100. Apart from Elephants, there are Sri Lankan sambar deer, Sri Lankan axis deer, Sri Lankan spotted chevrotain, wild boar and water buffalo are among other mammal species. Golden jackal, Asian palm civet, toque macaque, tufted grey langur also inhabit the park.

Mirissa Beach
Tag 8-11
Mirissa - Unawatuna - Galle - Weligama - After Udawalawa Nationa Park, we will go direction south beaches. that's where you get the daily dose of vitamin D. The south of Sri Lanka is full of small beach towns. we would either stay in one place or stay the whole time in a central location
