Celebrate New Year's Eve at a ski resort

Perfect balance between sports & chillin

Drink a coffee at 3842m with a 360 view

Fall in love with winter and the magic of the snow in the Alps! We will visit the Christmas market in Annecy, taste the famous cheese fondue and discover the beautiful castle and old town, by the lake. Have you ever heard of Mont-Blanc ? It's the highest peak of the Alps and only an hour away from our appartment! We'll visit the pittoresque village of Chamonix and take the highest cable car of Europe to reach the "Aiguille-du-midi" at 3842m (!!!) where you'll have a stunning view of the Alps. On the next day, we will show off (or discover our hidden) skiing skills at Le Grand-Bornand, which is the perfect mountain to learn to ski (like I did!) or for advanced skiers to enjoy the incredible slopes and view! This is where we will celebrate NEW YEAR'S EVE with DJs and firework at the ski station! A unique experience! On the last day, we'll take it easy, chill out and enjoy the fresh air around the lake of Annecy, walk in the Jardins de l'Europe and enjoy a a cup of coffee or "vin chaud" to warm us up!

About me! Traveling, working abroad and making new friends are my three favorite things in the world. I've lived in Germany, and I'm now sharing my time mostly between Costa Rica and Québec, when I am not discovering new places or visiting friends in one of the 26 countries I've already visited. I love to challenge myself, I'm spontaneous, I love sports and cultural activities such as discovering museums and going to shows... I like to chill but also to party, which makes me the perfect buddy to gather people together and share unforgettable moments. I've been travelling for 15 years, I've organized dozens of trips and met even more fellow travellers... I have a gift to organize and plan unrivalled expeditions while staying on the lookout for unforeseen opportunities that we gotta seize to make our trip memorable! Details about the accommodation: We will stay in a beautiful townhouse with 3 bedrooms (5 beds) with a private garden, near the town center, Annecy's old town and Lake Annecy. It's a nice 20-minute walk to the train station/downtown. The perfect place to chill after a full day of activities, still close to downtown if you wanna go out! So this is it! Annecy

Tag 1-3

We will meet at the appartment, near the train station and downtown Annecy. On the first afternoon, we will visit the Christmas market, enjoy a cup of hot wine (vin chaud) or tea, get soaked in the holidays spirit and get to know each other around a famous traditional dish in the region of Haute-Savoie : cheese fondue (fondue au fromage) the best comfort food ever! You will see the beautiful lake, the old prison and the colorful buildings of the old town! During all the trip, we will stay at the same apartment, ideally located, which will give us plenty of opportunities to travel around by car and visit nearby attractions, and keep our stuff safe at home !

Chamonix

Tag 3-4

Let's enjoy a cool day out ! We'll go to Chamonix by bus and visit the famous Mont-Blanc, the highest peaks of the Alps. Here, you have two choices : enjoy breathtaking views of Mont-Blanc while skiing or take a cable car up to the top to Aiguille du Midi (3842 m!) and have a coffee while enjoying the view. If you dare, you can take a glass elevator and see the mountain below your feet ...! We will take a hike in the beautiful surrounding mountains and witness the Sea of ice, the largest glacier in France, 7km long and 200m deep, which is one of the biggest attractions in the Chamonix Valley. Finally, you can visit the Crystal Museum to learn about the local minerals and gemstones and explore the charming town of Chamonix and its shops, cafes, and restaurants. Another terrific day outdoors, before driving back to lovely Annecy and sip a glass of wine with a good raclette (yes, another way to eat cheese ;))

Le Grand-Bornand

Tag 4-5

Ski trip and fresh air in the Alps! (FOR ALL LEVELS even if you've never skied in your life!) Le Grand-Bornand is where I personally learned to ski 4 years ago and it was so much fun! It's the best place to give yourself a chance to try this liberating sport with an experienced instructor, or to simply enjoy new landscapes and own the slopes! Every year, there is a big NEW YEAR'S EVE party at Grand-Bornand, with DJs, fireworks, beautiful lights and lots of fellow mates who want to celebrate in a unique way! This is how we'll pass the new year :)

Annecy

Tag 5

On the last day, we will take it easy, take a walk along the scenic trails of Semnoz Mountain, have a seat in Les Jardins d'Europe in front of the lake, and be grateful for the new year beginning! (if you want to follow me to Portugal for a surf trip next, let me know!)
