Get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey filled with the wonders of nature and the allure of gold. As we begin our expedition, we'll dive deep into the lush and captivating jungle, trekking through dense foliage and listening to the enchanting symphony of all the beautiful animals and insects around. Finding gold is not easy, and we will have to walk quite a bit to get to our destination, where our precious metal lies hidden under our very feet. As well, we get to enjoy all that Drake Bay has to offer, by going on a few tours that will take us through dense jungles, rivers, and the sea. My name is Daniel, I was born in Costa Rica and have lived here most of my life. I am very chill, love art, music, movies, and trekking. I like to do silver and gold jewellery, and also make and paint leather shoes.
Details on accommodation are being finalized and will be updated soon. However, the location will be within 2 kilometers of the city center, and will have an amazing view. Details on rooms as well as types of beds will also be updated soon. There will be 6 beds of varying sizes available for each one of the TripMates. The idea is that everyone is comfortable, in a nice location, hopefully with AC instead of a fan.

Tag 1-2
We will meet up in San Jose on Friday, enjoy a few drinks over dinner, and get to know each other and what we're looking forward to. Our bus does not leave early, so we can enjoy our time out without the need to go to bed early either.

Tag 2-3
On day 2, we depart to Drake Bay by bus, where we will travel to the southeast of my country and explore different areas along the way. The trip is long, lasting some 8 hours, but we will have stops where we can take in the scenery a bit.

Tag 3-5
On day 3 of our adventure, we will do a wonderful tour where we will see mighty waterfalls, and natural caves of the Corcovado National Park on this action-packed full-day tour. We'll venture into the heart of the rainforest in a 4x4, then set out on a thrilling canyoning experience. We will also be hiking along jungle trails, rappel down waterfalls, and will swim in natural pools before re-fuelling with a picnic-style lunch in a scenic natural setting. On day 4, we will go gold panning with a local through rivers and mountains. There will be a lot of walking this day with rough terrain ahead. Though I cannot assure we will find gold, that is MY intention too, so we'll do our best!

Tag 5-7
On day 5, we will spend the day at the beach, getting to know the town and the surrounding areas. This will be a chill day. However, we will be doing a night tour where we will be able to spot a large variety of animals and insects. On day 6, we explore the underwater landscape of Caño Island and get an up-close look at its rich marine life on this half-day, small-group snorkeling tour. In the morning, go to the meeting point in Drake Bay, board the boat and head to Caño Island. After a brief introduction and training session, you'll enjoy two different snorkeling sessions and opportunities to see octopuses, rays, tropical fish, and many others. Once back on the mainland, we finish with a hearty lunch. On day 7, we head into the jungle again. Sirena is one of the most intense and diverse ecosystems in the world. We will have the opportunity to view many specimens such as the Tapir, the peccary mountain pig, coatis, sloths, birds, tramps, crocodiles, and others.

Tag 7-9
Day 8 will be a relaxed day, where we get to go to the beach and do whatever our heart's desire, as it will be our last day in the area. Do note that most of the tours are half-day tours, which means we will have plenty of time during the day to do other activities, such as relaxing, reading, playing cards or a board game, etc.
