Adventure Awaits in the Wild Heart of Scotland Trade the tourist buses for open roads and experience the wild, remote, and breathtakingly beautiful Scottish Highlands the way they're meant to be seen. This 10-day, 9-night girls' road trip takes a small group of just 3 (including me, your driver & guide) through some of Scotland's most rugged and awe-inspiring landscapes, with a rental car giving us the freedom to reach places most travelers never see. The Perfect Balance of Wild & Cozy We'll alternate between wild camping under vast Highland skies and unwinding in charming local B&Bs with hearty Scottish breakfasts. Four nights sleeping beneath the stars in stunning, remote locations. Four nights in welcoming B&Bs. One night in a house before an early ferry. It's adventure with comfort woven in.

Hi, I'm Jessica! I'm a Creative Writing Coach, writer, and travel lover. I lived in Edinburgh while earning my master's degree and left about 5 years ago. I fell in love with the country and the culture. Now I'd love the opportunity to explore more of the beauty of Scotland with you. Where We'll Go Our journey begins at Edinburgh airport and winds through the dramatic landscapes of the Highlands, including: Inverness — Our gateway to the Highlands, with a local farm experience and a cozy B&B. Urquhart Castle & Loch Ness — Iconic ruins on the shores of Scotland's most legendary loch. Stac Pollaidh & Assynt — Wild, rugged peaks and our first night under the stars. Isle of Skye — Crossing the famous Skye Bridge to explore Armadale Castle and the magical Fairy Pools. Lewis & Harris — A ferry ride to the Outer Hebrides, where we'll camp near the pristine turquoise waters of Luskentyre Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in world. Stornoway & Ullapool — Our final stops before driving back to Edinburgh. Why Travel by Car? The Highlands are vast, remote, and often inaccessible by public transport. With our own wheels, we'll venture down single-track roads to hidden beaches, remote peaks, and wild camping spots far from the crowds. No bus schedules. No rushing. Just the freedom to stop whenever the landscape takes your breath away. What's Included - 10 days and 9 nights of adventure - 4 nights in local B&Bs with Scottish breakfast - 1 night in a house in Stornoway - 4 nights wild camping in beautiful, remote locations - All transportation by rental car + petrol - Airport pickup and drop-off at Edinburgh - A knowledgeable guide (me!) to handle the driving, planning, and navigation - Ferry crossings to Lewis & Harris then back to the mainland - Basic camping gear (cooking gear, fuel, compass, torch, toilet kit, first aid kit, etc. provided - bring your own tent and sleeping bag) Who This Is For This trip is perfect for adventurous women who want to experience Scotland beyond the postcards. You should be comfortable with basic camping, long scenic drives, and hiking in wild terrain. No experience necessary; just a love for nature, open roads, and good company. ~ Limited to 2 Travelers ~ This is an intentionally small trip. With only 2 spots available, you'll enjoy an intimate, flexible experience without the chaos of group travel. Join as a solo adventurer to make new friends or book with a friend!

We will be staying in a combination of local B&Bs, one night in small house, and wild camping in different locations. Due to the high What Is Wild Camping? Scotland is one of the few places in the world where wild camping is legal, thanks to the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003. This means we can pitch our tents in remote, beautiful locations; on hillsides, near lochs, and along coastlines, without needing designated campsites or permits. The Basic Rules Wild camping in Scotland comes with responsibility. The Scottish Outdoor Access Code asks that we: Camp in small numbers and for short stays (1-2 nights in one spot). Pitch away from roads, buildings, and farmland. Leave no trace: pack out everything we bring in. Avoid lighting fires unless in a safe, designated area. Respect wildlife and livestock. It's about enjoying Scotland's wild spaces while keeping them pristine for others. Once you've booked your spot, I'll send you a full itinerary, details for each accommodation, a suggested packing list tailored for Highland camping and weather, and comprehensive wild camping guidelines so you'll feel confident and prepared before we set off. **Video credit belongs to the creator.**

Tag 2-3
Once we leave Inverness, we will head northwest towards Assynt near Stac Polliadh, a mountain in the Scottish Highlands. We will find somewhere suitable to set up camp for the first night. After our last night of wild camping, we will make our way to the town Stornoway. Stornoway is the main town of the island, and you will have plenty of time to explore its scenic charms. We will check into a house here for the night where we will each have our own private room to spend our last night in. The house will also have a kitchen if you wish to prepare food. Our last day will be an early start to ensure we catch our ferry in time.
18

Ullapool

Tag 10
We will take a ferry from Stornoway to Ullapool that takes almost 4 hours and arrive in the later part of the morning. You can take a bit of time to refresh before we hit the road. From here we will start our drive back to the Edinburgh area.
