Hey adventure seeker! 🌎 I'm Rick, a TripLeader, a college graduate, and a remote teacher from the Netherlands. My passion lies in immersing myself in new cultures, forging connections with people, and losing myself in the wonders of nature. Specifically, I am incredibly enthusiastic about encountering extraordinary wildlife in their natural habitats. I have been fortunate enough to explore the vast savannahs of eastern and southern Africa, venture into the depths of the Amazon rainforest, and visit the captivating landscapes of Sri Lanka in search of the most magnificent creatures. Currently, my primary objective is to embark on a journey to the Strait of Gibraltar with the purpose of spotting orcas, also known as killer whales. These majestic creatures reign as the apex predators of the ocean, even posing a threat to great white sharks. Their immense size and captivating colors make them an exceptionally fascinating species to me. I have always nurtured the dream of witnessing them in their natural environment, and if you share the same desire, then this expedition is undoubtedly tailored for you!

Here's what you can anticipate during our expedition: 🌊 Witnessing orcas in their natural habitat—although nature is unpredictable, the odds are in our favor. 🌊 Observing other dolphins and whales in their pristine surroundings. 🌊 Engaging in a variety of outdoor activities, and adventures, and submerging ourselves in the local culture. 🌊 Enjoying the company of a fun and like-minded group. 🌊 Enjoying the delicious cuisine from Spain's renowned culinary tradition 🌊 Relaxing with a refreshing glass of sangria on the beach.

Details about the accommodation: During our stay, we will be accommodated in Airbnb homes. This means that some rooms may be shared. However, rest assured that I will ensure you have your private space when needed. In Sevilla, our Airbnb will be located in the historic center, allowing us to explore the rich heritage of the city. In Tarifa, our Airbnb will be conveniently situated near the beach, restaurants, and bars, providing easy access to all the amenities and vibrant nightlife. Seville

Tag 1-3

Day 1: Our expedition starts in Seville. Seville is one of spain's major cities and its airport is very well connected to the rest of Europe. On our first day we will get to know each other over some fun activities. Day 2: Today we are exploring the highlights of Seville. These include: 1: Royal Alcázar of Seville, the oldest royal palace in Europe, full of incredible architecture, design and history. 2: Cathedral and La Giralda, the largest church in the world. It's absolutely massive, but that doesn't make it less beautiful. 3: Barrio de la Cruz, one of Seville's oldest quarters and the Spain that everyone dreams of. Just imagine the typical lanes, the many balconies, fountains, and courtyards. Day 3: In the morning we are going to hop on a bus to Tarifa. This journey will take approximately 3 hours.

Tag 3-11

Day 3 to 11: In the early afternoon we will arrive in Tarifa. While you can take some time to relax on the beach, I will start getting some local intelligence about the orcas in the area. Since boat trips depend on weather conditions and previous sightings, creating an exact itinerary is not feasible. Fortunately, Tarifa offers more than just marine wildlife. Kitesurfers, in particular, are in for a treat, as Tarifa is renowned for its excellent kitesurfing conditions. If you're new to the sport, you can even take kitesurfing lessons. From Tarifa it's only a 1 hour boat ride to another continent. So, obviously we are also taking a day trip to Tangiers, Morocco. Prepare to step into a completely different world! North of Tarifa, there is a great national park where we will go hiking. Don't forget to bring your hiking shoes, and let's enjoy the beautiful mountain landscapes and fantastic mediterranean coastline. Tarifa is also an excellent destination for biking, boasting numerous routes along the coast and through the mountains. For instance, we can pedal our way to the Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia or to Playa de los Lances, where we can witness a breathtaking sunset that should not be missed. A trip to Spain is not complete without the beach, sangria, paella in picturesque restaurants and a party at the mediterranean sea. So of course, I will make sure we'll have plenty of time to enjoy these as well! On the late afternoon of day 11, we will make our way back to Seville.

Tag 11-12

Our expedition is slowly coming to an end, let's seize the remaining night and make it unforgettable! During dinner, we will reminisce about our cherished moments from the trip, sharing our personal highlights. Subsequently, we will dance the night away at one of Seville's incredible nightclubs. The following day, we will bid farewell to the city as we head to the airport. Alongside our luggage, we will carry priceless memories that will endure for a lifetime.
