This is really a dream trip for nature and landscape lovers. In 9 days we will be discovering the city of Tromsø, the breathtaking landscapes of Sommarøy and Kvaløya, and we will take out the boat for a couple of days to go whale watching around Skjervøy. If the circumstances allow we can also go snorkeling with the whales and orcas. We will also take a look in Finland, climb the highest mountain of Finland, and when there is enough snow we can go dog sledding. When we are lucky enough we will also see the "green lady Aurora" dancing in the sky.
About me! My name is Roy; I am 35 years old and originally from the Netherlands, but for almost 4 years, I have lived in Norway with my family. I moved there because I am a real nature, and one of my biggest passions is orcas and other whales. I am a certified captain and bus driver.
Details about the accommodation: We will be sleeping in (quite luxury) hotels/cabins with options to use sauna/jacuzzi. Most of the time, we cook and make breakfast together, but we also use restaurants. Kvaløya
Tag 1-2
After completing the group, here we will stay in a nice and cozy apartment with option to use jacuzzi and/or sauna. The apartments have view on the fjords and with a bit of luck on the Northern lights as well.

Sommarøy
Tag 2-3
Here we will go hiking to 1 or 2 viewpoints with an amazing view on the Northsea, the islands of Sommarøy with her white sand beaches. With a bit of luck we will see eagles, or a shark. After this we will prepare to the 4 hour drive to Skjervøy.

Skjervøya
Tag 3-7
Here the most important part of the journey will start. Whalewatching! We will go out on the water for several days to find orcas, humpback whales and maybe even pilot whales and fin whales feeding on herring. When the circumstances allow we can also go snorkeling between these majestic animals. In the evenings we will be hiking and looking for the Northern lights to appear. We can also join information evenings with lections about studies on whales etc.

Kilpisjärvi
Tag 7-8
We will visit Finland! And climb one of the highest mountains of Finland... Sounds more extreme than it is, because this mountain is "only" 1029 meters high. After that we will find us a nice grill cabin to make some food. When we are lucky we will also see reindeer on this day.

Tromsø
Tag 8-9
Here we begin and here we end. I will try to make some time to visit the city of Tromsø as well. We can go up by cable car, or climb the mountain by the "sherpatrappen" stairs to have a nice view over Tromsø.
