Exploring Sri Lanka in 2 Weeks!

After getting picked up from the airport, you will be taken to Pinnawala, which is another famous place among tourists. You can get a glimpse of Elephants bathing in Ma Oya which is a highlight in this trip. You will be staying in a Hotel that faces the river so you can even watch the elephants from the hotel itself.

After breakfast, we will be leaving for Kandy, our next destination. This is all about cultural exploration. You can visit the Temple of Tooth, which is a very sacred place among the locals and it's a popular destination among the tourists.

Now, here comes the fun part! You will be given a chance to ride on a local train in Sri Lanka. This is actually a highlight of our trip. People from all over the world, come to Sri Lanka, for this particular thing. This scenic train ride will be a memorable thing in your life I'm pretty sure. You will experience breathtaking views of lush green tea plantations. mountains, valleys and dense jungle. What's more, it's the perfect way to experience Sri Lankan life. You get to meet smiling locals on the train and eat some spicy snacks sold by vendors who board at each stop. This is a must-do experience in Sri Lanka. After a long, scenic train ride, you will be taken to the place where we're staying. The next day is all about adventure! Ella, has it's very own Adventure center, where you can do zip lining, Cod Biking, archery and many more activities. More over, you can do a little bit of hiking to Little Adam's Peak. After a fun-filled day, we will be chilling in this cool place with a pool. This is just a summary of what we'll be doing because Ella, is much more!

The next stop is Arugambay! This destination is for all the beach lovers. In Arugambay, you can do water sports such as surfing. Or else, you can chill on the beach while having a coconut water. This day is all about relaxation so I didn't plan any activities for this day.

Here comes the next big adventure of our trip. Yala National Park is famous for spotting leopards so if we're lucky, we might spot one. More over you'll see Elephants and exotic birds as well. We will be staying in Yala for two days in a hotel so you can enjoy your stay at the hotel as much as the safaris.

Mirissa is known for whale and dolphin watching. Specially, Blue Whales and Sperm whales. This is the big highlight of this destination but moreover, we can explore several pubs and restaurants as Mirissa is home to some of the best in Sri Lanka.

Another famous tourist destination! There are historical landmarks to be seen. We can go see the light house, have a walk around the city so you can do some shopping for souvenirs, etc. We will be staying in Galle for one day.

Being the capital of Sri Lanka, there is a diverse list of places to visit in Colombo for everyone. The rich and vast history of Colombo may be the result of having been ruled successfully by the Dutch, Portuguese and British. This has led to an incredible patchwork of various cultures. There are some historical monuments and buildings which exhibit details. Moreover, we can go see the museum, Gangaramaya Temple which is another iconic place, do some shopping, try some street food, etc. There are so many things to be done in Colombo and that's why we will be staying there for two days.

Our final destination for this trip is, Negambo. Before you leave, I want my trip mates to have a one last memorable experience in Sri Lanka. You will be staying in a Hotel facing the lagoon. On this last day, I want everyone to share their experience and moments that they had on this trip. After spending a night in Negambo, you will be taken to the Airport as it is the end of our amazing trip.
