This is a journey to appreciate the cuisine and historical/cultural roots of Portugal and Galicia. We travel from Lisbon, northwards to Santiago de Compostela and return to Lisbon. I would have completed this same journey in early September, right in the middle of the annual grape harvest. I return to enjoy the beginning of the year-end festive season before the crowds. The cost of meals vary and tend to start from ~EUR10.00 for a "Plato da Dia".

About me! A lifetime traveler since my youth. Backpacking at first, upgrading as my budget improved. However, I eschewed luxurious accommodations. I am an active senior citizen with different careers in my lifetime.
