Medellin, the city of Eternal Spring, is the second biggest city in Colombia, waiting for you to have the time of your life. Medellin is a vibrant and dynamic city located in the Andes mountains of Colombia, it is well known for it's perfect climate, that is why it is referred as the "City of Eternal Spring" with average temperatures from 20 to 25 degrees fro the entire year. This city is rich in culture thanks to it's history, cultural centers, museums, art galleries, cultural centers, and the city's transformation into a creative and innovative hub. Here you will be surrounded with breathtaking views and landscapes where we can also embrace into adventure. Contrary to its past reputation, Medellin has made significant strides in improving safety and security. Today, it is considered one of the safer cities in Latin America, providing a comfortable and worry-free environment for visitors. In addition, Medellin is well know for it's great night life (one of the best in Latin America), it's delicious gastronomy, and it's people warm hospitality. Last but not least, Medellin has become a hub for remote workers, attracting a diverse community of digital nomads worldwide. This welcoming atmosphere makes connecting, collaborating, and sharing experiences with like-minded individuals easy. On the other hand, for the weekend, we will be staying at Guatapé which is one and a half hours from Medellin. This beautiful and small town is known as "The Most Colorful Town in Colombia" This delightful town is a true gem, offering a unique blend of natural beauty, vibrant architecture, and a rich cultural heritage. Guatapé is situated on the shores of a vast artificial reservoir known as "Embalse Guatapé" or "Guatapé Lake." This strikingly beautiful body of water is surrounded by rolling hills and rocky outcrops, creating a captivating landscape that's ideal for boat tours, water sports, and lakeside relaxation.

About me! Hello tripmates! My name is Juan Pablo Avella, I'm 23 years old and I'm from Colombia. I'm a enthusiastic and adventurer traveler, excited to share and explore with new people and new cultures. I'm graduated in Economics and currently I work remotely as a Pricing Analyst, I live in Bogotá but Medellin has always been part of my favorite destinations. This would be my first trip, that's why I decided to take you to a place I know well, that I enjoy, and that for sure you will fall in love with. From this trip I'm expecting to have lots of fun, to build new friendship, to show you the beauties of my country, and to make you fall in love with my culture. Moreover, since we all are remote workers, creating strategic connections will be enriching for all of us.

Details about the accommodation: We will be staying at a beautiful, spacious, and comfortable apartment in Laureles, one of the most prestigious locations in Medellín, Colombia. This apartment is initially for 6 guests, nonetheless, we will be only 5 so we are all comfortable, and we all have the space needed. There are 4 bedrooms, which means 2 tripmates will have to share one bedroom, there are 5 beds, hence, we all are going to have our own bed, and there are 3.5 bathrooms. When we arrive in Guatape we will stay at a beautiful house with a beautiful view of the Guatape-Reservoir. This house is for 10 people, it has 3 bedrooms, 6 beds and 3 bathrooms. It has a very nnice jaccuzzi, balcony, wifi, deck, and BBQ. It is 6 minutes away from Guatape's town where we can find all types of restaurantes, supermarkets and bars. This accommodation has the perfect space for remote workers, it consists of one dining table with 6 chairs, 4 different desks in separate rooms so everyone can attend their meetings, and one table outside at the patio for anyone that wishes to work outside and enjoy Medellin’s perfect weather. The location is perfect since there are restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets, bars, and shopping/malls within a walking distance. Wifi is super fast, there are nice common areas like the big living room, balcony and back patio. In addition, the apartment has a filter water dispenser, with a fully equipped kitchen for cooking. Tag 1-8

Medellin has become one of the favorite destinations for remote workers around the world. The beauty of it’s city, people’s charm, the weather, and it’s beautiful views is what makes people fall in love with the city. There are many activities to be done, like enjoying the gastronomic variety, visiting Comuna 13, going out and party since nighlife is one of the best in the world, museums, and beautiful parks are some of the tons of activities the city offers. Moreover, we will dive into the country’s culture, and will learn about all the beautiful aspects the colombian culture has to offer.

Guatapé

Tag 8-9

Guatape is one and a half hours from Medellín, we will arrive in Guatapé early on Saturday’s morning, here we will stay at a beautiful house next to Guatape’s reservoirs. Here we can visit the beautiful and typical town of Guatape which is full of colors and cultures. We can visit El Peñol rock and have a beautiful view of the entire landscape. We can also rent a boat and navigate all the reservoirs, and of course we can enjoy the nightlife that Guatape offers.
