Hello travellers! Are you ready to come to Ghana? Let me tell you what is so special about this trip! First, my name is Kingsley Owusu Ansah and I am the Owner of Biovell Company Limited. I'll be your Facilitator, Driver, hiking partner, motivator, debating, and sing-along buddy adventure wingman, plus hopefully a good friend during and after the trip. I'm originally from Accra Ghana. I have spent several years living in Ghana, South Africa, and some months in Cote D’Ivoire. Traveling all over these countries got me to know some local cultures, and experience the slow pace of life. I'm also a qualified Tour guide with experience, with an emphasis on tours. On this tour, we will visit Fort Appolonia, the Childhood home of Kwame Nkrumah, the first president of an independent Ghana, and we will explore Nzulezu and have our Anthropology experience. The village can be reached only by canoe; the route, which crosses the rain forest, takes about an hour to 5 km away to get us to the village, with total safety. Nzulezo is a village located near the village of Beyin, 90 kilometers west of Takoradi, in the Jomoro District jomoro the Western Region of Ghana. Over 500 people live in the community. Nzulezu overlooks Lake Tadane, and is entirely made up of stilts and platforms. In 2000, it was nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is a major tourist attraction area. The site is increasingly a source of tourism, with tourist coming to experience the village as well as a local alcohol produced in the village. The name "Nzulezo" in the Nzema language means "water surface", and is a village on stilts of "Ewuture" origin situated close to the northwest shore. The "Ewuture" maintained the waterways and transportation of goods and people. According to History, the village was built by a group of people from Oualata, a city in the ancient Ghana Empire and in present-day Mauritania, which came about from following a snail. The snail is therefore a totem and revered by the people of Nzulezo. We will equip ourselves with all necessary safety measures. Fort Apollonia

Fort Apollonia is a fort in Beyin, Ghana. The name Apollonia was given to the area by a Portuguese explorer who sighted the place on the Feast of Saint Apollonia, 9 February.[1] Because of its importance during the European colonial period and its testimony to the Atlantic slave trade, Fort Apollonia was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List along with several other forts and castles in Ghana in 1979. The Swedes established a trading post at Apollona as part of the Swedish Gold Coast between 1655 and 1657. In 1691, a British trading post was erected at this site, which between 1768 and 1770 was extended into a fort. After the abolition of slave trade, the fort was abandoned in 1819, but it was again occupied from 1836 onward. The fort was transferred to the Dutch as part of a large trade of forts between Britain and the Netherlands in 1868, on which occasion it was renamed Fort Willem III, after King William III of the Netherlands. Four years later, however, on 6 April 1872, the fort was, along with the entire Dutch Gold Coast, again transferred to the United Kingdom, as per the Gold Coast treaty of 1871.

Nkroful - Ntantkoful Road

Nkroful is famous as the birthplace of Kwame Nkrumah. Nkrumah was born there on September 21, 1909, was raised there, and on July 9, 1972, was also buried there after his death. Nkroful has the original Nkrumah Mausoleum and monument, which continues to attract visitors.
