Hey there! My name is Maxime and I am a 21 years old travel addict from Bordeaux, France. I have basically been living out of a suitcase for the last 2 years, exploring the world while studying Tourism. I first visited Budapest in 2019 and fell in love with this city, that is why last summer I came back during the Sziget festival with a few friends, and we had the time of our lives! About the trip: Let's have the best time this August in Budapest during one of the largest musical and cultural celebrations in Europe - the SZIGET FESTIVAL! My goal for those 5 days is to find the perfect balance between partying and exploring the city. We will go wander around the Hungarian capital, find hidden gems throughout the city, try some delicious Hungarian food and also party! Not only we will attend the Sziget Festival on Saturday, but we will also cruise on the Danube river for the traditional boat party 🎉 I am looking for 4 to 7 adventurous TripMates to join me in Budapest! What's included ✅? - Accommodation for 4 nights in a shared hostel dorm - Sziget 1-day Festival ticket ( Saturday 12th) - Boat party 1-day ticket on Friday 11th - TripLeader fee for planning & organizing - Health insurance for German & Austrian travelers What's not included ❌? - Meals & drinks - Transport to and from Budapest / airport to the city - Public transport tickets within Budapest - Entrance to optional tourist attractions Please acknowledge that our group size must have a minimum of four people. Budapest
Tag 1-3
During the 4 nights we will stay at a hostel in the city center of Budapest, so we will be able to do a lot by walking but at some point we will also make use of the public transport to save our feet from the partying ahead! We wil meet on Wednesday night at the hostel, get to know each other and discuss together what are our preferences for this trip :) On Thursday we will be out exploring the city and take our time to stroll around the city. These are a few spots we will check out: - Heroe's square - Central Market Hall - Hungarian parliament - Citadella point of view - Fisherman's bastion - Széchenyi Chain Bridge - Gozsdu food court .... And much more!!

Boat Party Budapest
Tag 3-4
On Friday it will be time for the traditional Sziget Boat Party! The boat will depart at 13:00 and we will be cruising on the Danube river for around 4hours with stunning views on the city. Obviously a DJ ( to be announced later) will be playing and make the crowd go crazy! After that for those who are down we could check Budapest's nightlife and have a proper Friday night.

Sziget Festival
Tag 4-5
On Saturday morning we can all have some free time and get ready for the Festival day on Obudai Sziget island. The Sziget festival has been around since 1993 and is way more than just the musical experience - it's about love, art and freedom in all possible forms We will make our way in the afternoon and stay until our bodies can't anymore! For now David Guetta has been announced to play but more artists will come soon. Let's have so fun together!!

After a day & night of festival madness, we will take Sunday slow and probably go for some nice food before saying bye to each others. Depending on everyone's departing schedule we can obviously still wander around town together!
