Spain's highest mountain

Tenerife is the biggest island of the canary archipelago and home to a multitude of microclimates, that's why there is a lot to see! 👀 This will be a week full of traditions, beautiful hikes, swimming adventures 🐙 and good memories! Don't forget your camera 📸 because you will shoot some beautiful pictures in Tenerife's Nationalparks! In the southern region, the chances of spotting local pilot whales 🐋 and dolphins are quite high! Tenerife stands out as one of the world’s best locations for these marine inhabitants, thanks to the deep oceans just off the coast. Due to its location, the Canary Islands are the perfect place to still get summer sun! You will surely have some great sunny days ⛅️, the temperatures will be perfect for hiking or strolling through the city, and for a dip in the ocean afterwards. Everyone takes care of their own arrival and departure - I will of course help whenever you have questions or doubts. Joint expenses, such as groceries, lunch and dinners, will be shared on an App called Splitwise. 💸 And remember- it is your holidays and I will only give you suggestions of activities- if you want to hike more and chill less or vice versa, it is totally fine! I will give you pick up times and activity suggestions and either you join or you can also just enjoy the day on your own. Everything is fine 🌸 Also take in mind that we are working with nature, which means- the order of days will probably vary- but we will try to do all the activities as mentioned :)

My boyfriend Kayo and I will be your tour guides around the island, showing you our favorite spots. Black Sand Beaches, traditional cuisine, hikes on volcanic terrain and much more 🌋. With over 20 group trips here on the island we are quite experienced and know exactly how to provide you a great holiday! We will pick you up in the morning (between 9-10 am) and bring you back to the accommodation after an adventurous day together (between 5-7pm). We reside in the northern region of the island, which is known for its authenticity and lush greenery. Our aim is to introduce you to this exquisite location while prioritizing sustainability. Unlike the heavily tourist-laden south of the island, where attractions often disregard nature and local communities, our approach will be markedly different. We intend to escape the crowds, immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the area, and collaborate with small, local businesses as much as possible!

You'll be staying at the modern DWO Nopal Hotel, right in the heart of Puerto de la Cruz. Within just a 3-minute walk, you'll have easy access to supermarkets, bars, and the beautiful ocean. Bedrooms will be shared with someone of the same gender. If you'd like to have your own private bedroom, please don't hesitate to contact us. We'll do our best to arrange a single bedroom for you! Enjoy healthy breakfast with a view to the highest mountain of Spain and relax at the roof top pool after an active day together! Sea you soon :)

Puerto de la Cruz

Tag 1-7

Since everyone will arrive at different times, arrivals day will be mostly to walk around town, get to know each other and watch the sun go down at the beach. ☀️ You will stay in Puerto de la Cruz, an authentic town right next to the ocean, with lots of bars, restaurants and shops. I am happy to help with the arrival and can give you a hand on how to reach the accommodation the fastest :)

Parque Nacional del Teide

Tag 7

Let's start the week with a highlight ! The Teide Nationalpark. You will be able to step on the highest mountain of Spain which is also a volcano! 🥾 After going up by gondola, we have the chance to walk a bit down to another crater, which will reward us with absolute great views! Approx. walking time 3 hours up & down. Afterwards let's stroll through the authentic town of La Laguna for some shopping. 🛍

Anaga

Tag 7

Today we will head to the Anaga mountain chain ⛰. Hiking paradise, beautiful views and great black sand beaches ☀️ We will start the day with a hike through the lush forest. After around 2-3 hours with breaks and picture stops we will be back at our starting point. Around 14:00 we will have some lunch and afterwards relax and nap at one of the closely beaches.

Costa Adeje

Tag 7

Today it’s time to see the south side of the island. We will start the day with heading down to Costa Adeje to hop on an around 2h whale watching tour with a local company 🐋 To finish off the day, we will head further west to our last spot of today. A local beach where we can jump into the water once again and grab a sunset beer from a lovely viewpoint. Depending on the time of the year, we will see the sunset from there or from a 30-minute away mountain viewpoint.

El Sauzal

Tag 7

Today we can start a bit later and enjoy a morning without any stress. You will have time to go for a brunch or just relax and sleep in for a bit. In the afternoon we can go to El Sauzal and jump into some natural volcanic pools. Or if you feel like it, we can have an idyllic coastal walk to another Black Sand Beach.

Masca

Tag 7

First stop: Buenavista del Norte, we will go for a easy-moderate hike. If we are lucky we will be able to see two of Tenerife's neighboring islands and El Teide in the background. For lunch, we will stop at Masca valley. Another traditional village in-between the mountains. 🥘 Enjoy the traditional "Cactus Mojito" and other specialties! Last but not least: Garachico, a traditional village, next to the beach, where we can have a coffee or/and jump into some natural volcanic pools. 💦 Let us meet in the afternoon for a drink and cheers for a great week together!
