Are you ready to travel through centuries of rich history and traditions? 🌻 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒕? - Florence: a journey through Gastronomy and Art - Discover Spirituality and Nature in Assisi - Delight your taste buds in Norcia, a Haven for Foodies - Experience the stunning color palette of one of the World’s most beautiful Blooms - Explore Rome, the eternal capital 👣 𝑯𝒐𝒘: With the exception of the one-day trek from Castelluccio to Norcia, we will primarily use public transportation, such as trains and buses, to travel between destinations. We will only use taxis when no other options are available. Within the cities, we will explore on foot, as this is the best way to experience each destination. 🛏️ 𝑨𝒄𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒐𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏: Accommodation options depend on how quickly each TripMate prepays for the tour. The specific goal is to find the best available option in terms of proximity, budget, and sustainability. Depending on the preferences of the TripMates, we can arrange shared same-gender rooms. Please be aware that accommodation in Rome is not included. 🧩 𝑴𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆: Please verify before booking if you can enter Italy without a visa or if you need to obtain one before or upon arrival. Also, be aware that while you are covered by my hiking insurance during our treks, you may not be fully covered during the rest of your stay if you are not an Austrian or German citizen. Therefore, it is advisable to have your own personal travel insurance.

Metropolitan City of Florence

Tag 1-2

We will meet early in the morning in Florence, where I will guide you through the city's best landmarks. Our city tour will include a visit to the local central market for lunch, allowing you to experience Florence's most delicious local food and wines. In the evening, we will visit the stunning Giardino delle Rose, one of the city's most picturesque scenes. After a delightful aperitivo (i.e., happy hour), we will take a train to Perugia, which will take approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes.

Assisi

Tag 2-3

Early in the morning, we will take a bus to Assisi, which will take approximately 1 hour. We will spend the morning and afternoon strolling through the city to experience its cozy atmosphere and visit its major landmarks. In the evening, we will decide (after prior consultation) whether to take a traditional cooking class or go on a 2-hour hike in the surrounding wilderness.

Norcia

Tag 3-5

Early the next morning, we will use public transportation (bus and train) to travel to Norcia, which will take between 2 to 3 hours. We will visit the center of Norcia, and this will include a lot of food tasting of its local delicacies.

Castelluccio

Tag 5

Early the next morning, we will take a taxi to Castelluccio di Norcia, which will take about 30 minutes. After a very short visit of the city, we will depart on foot to go back Norcia. This will be a moderately intensive but very rewarding 16 km hike, offering stunning views of the blossoming plains and breathtaking scenery along the way. Upon reaching Norcia, we will have a well-deserved rest.

Metropolitan City of Rome Capital

Tag 5

Early in the morning, we will take multiple modes of public transportation to reach Rome, which will take approximately 2.5 to 4 hours. Upon arrival, we will explore the city center until late evening, when we will share a wonderful farewell!
