This trip is a mix of experiences for those who love to discover new things about the culture and traditions of the place that you are visiting. Do you know that in Romania, for the winter Holidays (Christams, New Year's Eve), we have a Bear, Goat and Masked carolers Dance? Yeap! You read it right! Romania is a rich country when it comes to traditions and superstitions. Modern Romanians only keep a few of them, but many of the old traditions can be discovered in the countryside, in remote areas of the country. In Romania children go caroling on Christmas Eve. Actually, in Bucharest and in other cities they start long before that, as they try to go to as many houses as possible. If you live in a block of flats, chances are you'll be visited by carolers as early as the beginning of December. Not only children go caroling. Groups of students – usually theology students, with beautiful voices- start caroling sometime in the second half of December. Carolers usually expect small food and beverage goodies- fruits, nuts, cookies, glasses of wine for adult carolers- in exchange for their performances. Nowadays kids usually settle for money, 5 or 10 RON should be enough. Traditionally, carolers have bells, whips and drums and make noise to dispel the malevolent spirits. Some of them also wear costumes and masks symbolizing diverse animals such as: bears, goats and horses, which representing the evil forces. From Christmas until Epiphany, they also visit the houses in the neighborhood singing the Carol of The Star and other religious carols, holding a stick with a Star made of cardboard or other materials on top of it. In the first day of the New Year they walk again from house to house chanting a song about luck, throwing rice in the doorways of their receivers. We are going to explore the main attractions of the area, which includes the Dracula's Castle, Peles Castle, the most beautiful city in Romania, which for me is Brasov and the Rasnov Fortress. -- How to arrive at the accommodation -- -> Henri Coanda Airport in Bucharest: at the entrance of the airport, there is a special train taking you to the North Railway in Bucharest (1 EUR ticket) <-> buy a ticket from Bucharest to Brasov (6 -12 EUR depending on the transport company) <->From Brasov I am going to collect you and bring you to your accomodation

Brașov

Tag 1-2
Arriving in Brasov at our accommodation and getting to know each other. Depending on everybody's arrival time, we will either head to dinner or lunch together, following by some sightseeing. We will also have the option to also go to the supermarket.
2

Bran Castle

Tag 2-3
We are going to wake up and have a strong breakfast. Then we are going to drive for about 45 minutes to Bran, where we are going to visit the famous Dracula Castle. After the tour of the castle we are all going to have lunch in a local restaurant where we can try traditional Romanian food. Than we are going to drive to Rasnov, which is 15 minutes of a distance from Bran castle and we are going to visit the Fortress and enjoy the amazing view from above. From Rasnov, we are going to return to Brasov and we are going to decide if we want to cook something home or go out for dinner.
3

Peleș Castle

Tag 3-4
Day 3 we are going to drive to Sinaia, which is located between the mountains. We are going to visit another famous attraction, which is the Peles Castle. Peleș Castle is a Neo-Renaissance palace in the Royal Domain of Sinaia in the Carpathian Mountains, on an existing medieval route linking Transylvania and Wallachia, built between 1873 and 1914. Its inauguration was held in 1883. It was constructed for King Carol I of Romania. Because we are going to be surrounded by nature, we are going to have different stops where we can enjoy the beautiful landscapes, we are also going to stop in smaller villages like Busteni and Predeal where we can have lunch and have time also to buy maybe some souvenirs. At the end of the trip we are going to return to our accommodation and later that night we can decide if we will like to go and hangout in a pub and have some quality time all together!

Brașov

Tag 4
On this day, we are going to be visiting the city of Brasov more closely, I am going to show you the main attractions of the city and also on this day we are going to hunt for dancing bears, or goats or anything that will bring us more close to the Rumanian’s Winter Traditions. In case of any events plan by the local council regarding the Romanian traditions during our stay, we can be flexible and change our itinerary, in case everyone’s agree with it. This is going to be also the day where our trip is going to end, so of course after some tears and hugs, I am going to help you with all the information about your transportation to the airport or different location you are going to plan to go after this trip.
