Cultural Barcelona 🇪🇸👩‍🎨 Spring escape immersion with workshops 🖼️🥘

Barcelona, one of the coolest Mediterranean cities. Famous for its excellent weather and beaches, it is also renowned for its gastronomy, architecture, high-end art culture, nightlife and sports. It is simply THE best pick for a fun, enriching trip. Nice to meet you, I'm Lua! It's been 3 years since I moved to Barcelona, and I am super excited to share with you a nontraditional visit to the capital of Catalunya. Mostly (but not only) for those who already visited the city before, for this time the idea is to savor 4 days of hand-picked attractions and activities mixing different cultural scenes we have available in town. We will visit three fantastic museums: the National Art Museum of Catalunya (which takes place in a beautiful palace); the Moco Museum, with some of the greatest names of modern and contemporary art; and the Poble Espanyol, an open air museum with 117 buildings from different regions of Spain, offering traditional architecture, food and craftsmanship of the country. We will also pay a visit to one of Gaudí's masterpieces Casa Batlló, an outstanding building which was completely reformed by the architect, which converted it into a true work of art that is also extremely functional. The experience of visiting this jewel is enhanced by the audiovisual and virtual reality features, which will provide a multidimensional event. The best way to learn something is practicing it, so we will take the next step in our immersion by attending two workshops. After getting much inspiration from Antoni Gaudí, we will learn how to create our own mosaic piece of art. But it is not only about art that we will learn, but also about gastronomy. Have you already tried one of Spain's most popular dishes, the paella? We will learn everything we need to make this delicious traditional meal made with rice, vegetables and meat or seafood. In this class, we will also taste delicious tapas and sangría. I don't know yours, but my mouth is already watering. Completing our encounter, we will also visit art galleries while walking around the charming Gothic neighborhood; we will give a complete touristic round in the city, passing by its main spots with a hop on hop off bus, we will watch a thrilling Flamenco show, and we will visit the Catalan Music Palace. Who am I looking for? I'm searching for 3-4 sunny TripMates interested in art, history and culture. It is preferred that you eat seafood, as it is very present in the Spanish gastronomy and will be included in the workshop we will participate. You will be staying at an airbnb or a bed & breakfast, in a shared dorm with 1 or two persons. If you want a private bedroom, please inform me and we can try to arrange it. I want us to have a fun cultural holiday, having a great time learning new things with like-minded people. You can check all details of this plan below on the daily activities section. If there is any sightseeing you would like to go to, just let me know, and we can talk with the group and manage to include a stop if the majority agrees with it.
