👋 Hello! My name is Nadja Von Buseck, I have grown up in a family hotel in Salzburg, Austria, hosting has been part of my entire life. So, welcome to my trip! 📍 About the trip Over a well curated weekend you will get to know Berlin differently through the perspective of modern and contemporary visual art. The most exciting art venues of the city are chosen for you. In between, you will experience culinary moments in unique restaurants. Evenings can be spend with good drinks in selected bars. Art is seen in architectural icons such as Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's New National Gallery and a spectacularly converted gas station from the 1950s at the Grosz Museum. George Grosz was an important German-US painter and graphic artist. His paintings from the 1920s are often characterized by the city of Berlin. Two other highlights are the Julia Stoschek Collection - one of the world's largest private collections of time-based art, such as video, film, performance- and virtual reality works, and the Schinkel Pavilion - an art association in a historic landmarked architectural gem. The important institutions are complemented with visits to zeitgeist-defining art galleries. Not only do I recommend staying at an original lodging from the Art Nouveau period, it housed the world star of silent movies : Asta Nielsen, but also traditional restaurants and bars, which will delight us with their unique culinary and personal atmosphere. 💰 To summarise, what is included in the price? - Accommodation (Private room) - Public transport - Restaurants are paid individually Are you ready to explore Berlin's various counterculture movements, freedom, gaining distance from everyday life, discovering new things, encountering foreign cultures, discovering Berlin secrets? Neue Nationalgalerie

Tag 1
One of Berlin's great cultural addresses is the newly renovated Neue Nationalgalerie. It shows great 20th-century artists and exciting temporary exhibitions of contemporary art. Built in 1968 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe a German-American architect. He is considered one of the most important architects of modernism in the 20th century. The steel and glass architecture, a light-flooded hall, impresses with a unique construction: only eight, slenderly ascending supporting pillars outside the glass facade carry the monumental, 65 by 65 meter roof.
2

Diener Tattersall

Tag 1
Here you can enjoy Berlin cuisine since 1893, in a cozy atmosphere. The building survived World War II and was taken over by Franz Diener in the 1950s. It developed into an artists' pub with prominent regular customers. This tradition continues to this day. A picture gallery with about 500 portraits of artists adorns the wall and is constantly supplemented

The small Grosz Museum opened in May 2022 in a historic gas station in Berlin Schöneberg near Nollendorfplatz and thus in the middle of Grosz's life. He was an important German-US painter and graphic artist with a strong connection to the city of Berlin. He reflected diverse impressions of the big city in his early work, as well as the entire spectrum of Berlin society.
