Barcelona is one of my favourite places. It is a welcoming, cosmopolitan city, with plenty of different things to see. Also it's sunny and warm nearly all over the year. We'll see the old and the new Barcelona, their most interesting places, parks, their traditions, walking, eating in some of the oldest Catalan restaurant of the town, we'll have breaks in traditional cafes, ang go to a flamenco show.

About me! I'm Italian but I live in London, where I work as a tour guide, and I'm a freelance journalist. My tour are not usual: they are about music, interior design, old and new London, less known London. I love travelling and I travelled a lot, and I like to share everything I know about my favourite places.

Details about the accommodation: We will possibly stay in a central hostel ( one of the best in town) in the historic and vibrant middle of the town, in an independent apartment with four double rooms with twin beds, shared bathrooms (1 every 2 /3 people), with a modern kitchen with all facilities, a little balcony, and free wi-fi. Do you have questions about the trip? Keep me posted in the Q&A section! I will reply to you as soon as possible!

Day 2, 9.30: the old town. we will take a tour of old Barcelona, starting from the remains of the Roman city of Barcino, which are located within the Gothic Quarter, one of the most beautiful and particular areas of the city. We will visit the beautiful La Seu cathedral, very different from European cathedrals, and medieval Barcelona, with the small squares and narrow streets that survived the bombing during the Civil War, and the Palau Episcopal. We will see the Palau de la Generalitat, and we will visit the Antiga Synagogue, the oldest in Europe, still active. We will continue to Santa Maria del Pi, surrounded by 3 delightful little squares, (in one of them, which hosts musicians and various markets, we will stop for a coffee), with its stained glass windows, and the bell tower, from which you can have a beautiful view of the B.G. We will continue to Placa del Rei, which was once part of the king's residence. From here we will enter the Ramblas, and stop at the old Boqueria market for lunch, and then continue to the Vell Port. Before dinner we will participate in a Flamenco show at the Theater Flamenco City Hall. Dinner at a very famous late 19th century Art Nouveau venue.
