Travel regulations for international arrivals in Indonesia have been changing a lot lately, which put everybody in the travel industry on high alert, adjusting to the new situation. Travelers were required to undergo a seven-day quarantine period, then it was shortened to five days. Effective today, it has changed once again to a 3-day quarantine rule for travellers who have received the third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine (booster). Travellers with two doses will still have to quarantine for 4nights / 5 days – this has not changed. 📰11.02.2021 📰News: The immigration department of Indonesia has confirmed on their website that all nationalities can now arrive directly in Bali and also quarantine there. 📰08.03.2021 📰 News: There are still regulations to follow and the Visa on Arrival is only valid for 23 nationalities. But compared to everything that Bali experienced during the last 2 years of the pandemic, this is the first time, that one can remotely say: Bali is open again. On the 8th of March the Visa on Arrival has been made possible for travellers from following countries, but only if you arrive in Bali. the nationalities listed below can obtain a Visa on Arrival in Bali: 🟢Australia 🟢USA 🟢Canada 🟢UK 🟢Germany 🟢Netherlands 🟢France 🟢Qatar 🟢Japan 🟢South Korea 🟢Italy 🟢New Zealand 🟢Turkey 🟢UAE 🟢Malaysia 🟢Singapore 🟢Brunei 🟢Thailand 🟢Vietnam 🟢Laos 🟢Myanmar 🟢Cambodia 🟢Philippines Can I visit Bali during the pandemic❓ ✅Yes, foreigners can visit Indonesia. The main requirements are: 🔵 ALL travellers still need to apply for a Visit e-Visa (B211A). 🔵Negative PCR test not older than 2 x 24h (taken before departure from your country of origin) 🔵You still need the mandatory medical insurance upon arrival that must cover covid related expenses. Minimum amount of expenses it needs to cover now USD 30,000 🔵 Mandatory 5x24 hours quarantine (4 nights / 5 days) 🔵 You need to have the status of being Fully Vaccinated (single-dose vaccinated travellers must quarantine for 7x24 hours). That’s very good news. And it gets better. Additionally, the government has appointed 5 hotels in Bali to handle the quarantine. These hotels have put in massive effort to provide a pleasant quarantine experience. Before travellers had to stay in a hotel room in Jakarta. The Bali quarantine hotels have specifically allocated a particular portion of their property to allow their quarantine guests to enjoy pools, restaurants and activities, or even the beach, while still applying health and distancing protocols. They call it the Warm-up Vacation. Yes, it’s still a quarantine protocol, but a much more pleasant one. You can choose and book a hotel from a list of government certified properties in Bali and Jakarta. The quarantine hotels offer full-service packages with 2 PCR tests, and airport transfer to hotel. 🟢Hint: Quarantine in Jakarta is most cheaper than Bali.
