My name is Reeja and I a creative professional who loves to travel and experience places like a local. Currently I run a Bellydance School in two countries - India & The Netherlands, and I am also a certified Mat Pilates & Yoga Instructor. I love to share my passion for travel🧳✈️, dance💃, fitness🏃♀️ and Nutrition🥗 with others. So most of my trips are not just about exploring destinations but I also like to add activities related to overall health and wellbeing to them. 🛍️💅💆♀️🧘♀️ If I had to describe this trip in a tagline it would be 'Fashion, Food & Fun Galore!' The trip will be 3 nights and 4 days starting on June 24th ( an extended weekend trip, who doesn't love those?!) where we will be exploring the Thrift / Vintage shopping scene. Did you know Amsterdam has whole street dedicated to Thrift store shops? We will also be exploring local and popular eating joints from Food trucks to an age old distillery making Jenever (Dutch Gin) situated inside a park that used to be a Jewish Cemetry. Now for the important part - COSTING! 💳💷💶💵 Our main expense is going to be the AirBnB that costs around 365 Euros (per Trip mate) for the entire duration of the trip. I have booked this place in AirBnB in one of the most accessible parts of the city from where most of the places we need to visit are easily accessible by public transport or cycles. 🚌 Public Transport in Amsterdam / even renting a cycle to visit the different places should not cost you more than 30 Euros for the entire duration of the trip. Other than this please keep in mind food and shopping expenses. We will be sharing food and drink expenses amongst all of us and most of the places we are visiting are more local joints and not too heavy on the pocket! A few things to keep in mind: -There will be a lot of walking so please wear comfortable shoes. -Weather in the Netherlands is unpredictable. So please keep your Layering game on when it comes to clothing. -We don't have any partying / clubbing plans in the itinerary. That being said, if any of you would like to go out late night partying, I can guide you even if I am not able to join. (Thankfully Amsterdam is safe enough to club in small numbers as well!)

We meet at Amsterdam Central Station around 10am.Please note there are connections to all major train stations as well as Schipol Airport from this station. From here we shall proceed to our accommodation.

Since our Check-in time is 3pm, there is a facility to safely drop off our luggage and freshen up within the Aparthotels before we head out for our first adventure of the day! There is also a cafe within the premises for a quick cup of coffee or a quick bite.

This street is going to be every Vintage Shopper's Paradise where we will find everything from Designer to handmade Clothing, Footwear and Accessories. There are also stores with quirky and unique knickknacks as well as hidden treasures like Old Records and books. This is going to take us most of the day and incase we are not done on Day 1, we always have time to come back on Sunday evening for Round 2!

After a crazy day of shopping it's now time to unwind at one of Amsterdam's Hippest districts! There are several cool eating joints and cafes to just sit back and relax and enjoy delicious Dutch bar foods, various other international cuisines and not to forget refreshing beer! Also since the weather is great, we can definitely reserve a table by the canal and enjoy the sights and sounds that the city has to offer on a Friday Night.

Albert Cuyp

Albert Cuyp is one of the oldest and largest markets in Amsterdam and you can find everything from Silver jewelry, beautiful antiques and so many other treasures! But the best part about the market is the Food! From Dutch staples like Stroopwaffels and Poffertjes, to Turkish coffee and even Indian Street food, there is so much to sample. Plus there are some great Cafes and restaurants that we can stop by at whenever we need a break exploring the market. Saturday evening we can explore the cafes at DePijp or this is the time for the clubbing enthusiasts to plan their night out!

Flevopark

Did you know that there is a Distillery that brews local Gin known as Jenever and it is situated in a park that used to be a Jewish Cemetry?! Sunday morning will be all about visiting the historical Flevopark and not just for a taste of Nature, but also some locally made Jenever. The distillery is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the park and one can sit and taste all the varieties of Jenever and if we are lucky wines as well!

Cityden BoLo District

Sunday evening we will be having what the Dutch like to call Borrel - a gathering of friends with Dutch finger foods and beer! Of course we can customize this to our needs. It's just going to be an evening of sharing experiences about the trip and interacting and getting to know each other more.

Check out from the accommodation is at 11am but no trip to Amsterdam is complete without a taste of traditional Dutch Pancakes! What better place than the Pancake Bakery. You can thank me later after you have savored these heavenly pancakes!
