Hello, fellow travelers! My name is Marcel Vincenti and I want to guide you on an unforgettable journey through Rio de Janeiro, the most beautiful city in Brazil (and maybe in the world!)🌞 Who has never dreamed of visiting the beauties of Rio? And how about making this trip being guided by a Brazilian specialized in tourism? First, some information about me: since 2007, I've been working as travel journalist in Brazil. I've written articles in over 50 countries, driven by a passion: introducing people to different tourist destinations around the world. And that's what I do today at JoinMyTrip: I use my passion for travel and my experience as a travel journalist to take people to my favorite destinations on the planet. And Rio is one of them 😀 Let´s explore the Cidade Maravilhosa (Marvelous City) together?

What to expect: ✅ Visits to Rio's true secrets: beaches, bars and historic areas that are not part of the traditional tourist routes and are unknown to most foreigners (more information on our itinerary) ✅ Visits to Rio's postcards, which are a must visit in the city, like the Sugar Loaf Mountain and Copacabana and Ipanema beaches ✅ A safe itinerary guided by a Brazilian who knows the city ✅ An intense cultural experience in one of the most musical and colorful cities in the world ✅ An immersion in the landscapes of one of the most beautiful cities on the planet ✅ We are flexible to add new places to visit in the itinerary if everyone agrees 😊

MORE INFORMATION: 🔸 On the trip, you will stay in private double rooms with bathroom in well-reviewed bed & breakfasts or hostels located close to the beach. But we can also organize if you want to stay in a single room (there might be an increase in the accommodation price). And breakfast will be included 😃 🔸 Meals other than breakfast are not included in the trip. But, today, Brazil is very cheap for travelers with euros and dollars. It is possible to enjoy a good meal in Rio spending between 10 and 15 dollars. And you can have a cold beer on the beach for 2 or 3 dollars. 🔸 Tickets for entering tourist attractions, like the Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer, are not included in the price of this trip. 🔸 Rio has a reputation as a dangerous city around the world. But all the places we will visit are safe for tourists. It will be part of my job to keep you safe and happy 😉

Sugarloaf Mountain

Tag 1-2

DAY 1: We'll start the day by taking a car to one of the main postcards of Rio de Janeiro: Sugarloaf Mountain. We will take the cable car to the top of the mountain to admire, from above, all the splendor of the Marvelous City. Afterwards, we'll head to Copacabana, where you will walk and drink coconut water on one of the most famous beaches in the world. We'll have lunch at a traditional bar in Copacabana, which serves Brazilian food and is mostly frequented by Rio residents. And then we'll visit the Copacabana Fort, a historic military building that stands by the sea, with a beautiful view of the shore. We'll then return to the hotel to change into bathing suits and enjoy the afternoon on Ipanema beach (the same one from the song "Girl from Ipanema" 😀). Right next door is the most famous spot to watch the sunset in Rio: the rock formation called Arpoador, next to the sea. If everyone wants a bit of bohemian life, we can take a car to go at night to the neighborhood of Lapa, home to the most famous samba bars in the city.

Itacoatiara Beach

Tag 2-3

DAY 2: Day to explore a hidden gem located in the city of Niteroi, next to Rio de Janeiro: we will go to Itacoatiara beach, a true paradise of nature that few foreigners know about. We can spend the day on this beach enjoying the sun and the sea. And also take a walk in the beautiful Serra da Tiririca State Park, which is next to the beach. The State Park is a nature reserve where we can admire several species of birds and walk in a landscape marked by gigantic rock formations and lookout points with incredible views of the sea. After returning to the hotel, we can enjoy the late afternoon having a beer in the bohemian neighborhood of Ipanema and then take a car to the historic neighborhood of Santa Teresa, to have dinner in a traditional Brazilian bar.

Christ the Redeemer

Tag 3-4

DAY 3: Early in the morning, we'll take a car to visit Christ the Redeemer, one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World: the view from the top is unforgettable! After the Christ, we'll have lunch near the beautiful Lagoon Rodrigo de Freitas and then visit the city's Botanical Garden, opened in 1808 and home to 6,500 species of plants and trees. At night, you can have dinner in some of the traditional bars in the fun Baixo Gávea region, very popular with the youth of Rio de Janeiro.

Tag 4-5

DAY 4: In the morning, we will explore the historic center of Rio de Janeiro, where there are very important monuments to the history of Brazil, such as the Municipal Theater, the aqueduct of Lapa, the superb Royal Cabinet Portuguese Reading Library (with thousands of historical books of Brazilian and Portuguese literature) and streets with 18th and 19th century buildings. Did you know that Rio was once the capital of Brazil? After lunch, we will take the Santa Teresa tram, which crosses the picturesque and historic streets of the Santa Teresa district. We'll spend the late afternoon enjoying the beach in Ipanema. And then have dinner in a fun place!
