# 9 Visit the world's biggest Buddhist temple in Indonesia
The largest temple in the world, Borobudur, is located in Central Java, and is the most visited place in Indonesia.
Although the builder of this temple is unknown, it is estimated that construction began before 800 CE. It consists of 9 platforms, and a central dome, all decorated with 2672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues.
If you want to visit the temple and live a dream experience, visit it early in the morning. Watching the sunrise will be worth waking up early. Also, if you go early, the place will be less crowded, and you will have time to enjoy it to the fullest.
You'll probably be walking a lot, so comfortable shoes and loose clothing will be a good choice.
How to get there: Take the public bus from Yogyakarta (it will cost you less than 1 euro, yes, less than 1 euro). Or you can take the minibus for about 4 euros. That's a very good deal.

Go shopping in the Souq, the Arabic word for market. Here you would need to use your negotiation skills. Haggle as much as you can, until you get a fair deal.
Simply walking around would be a unique experience itself, as every part of this country is different from the other, but the one thing that is common all over is the delicious food.
