The largest temple in the world, Borobudur, is located in Central Java, and is the most visited place in Indonesia. Although the builder of this temple is unknown, it is estimated that construction began before 800 CE. It consists of 9 platforms, and a central dome, all decorated with 2672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. If you want to visit the temple and live a dream experience, visit it early in the morning. Watching the sunrise will be worth waking up early. Also, if you go early, the place will be less crowded, and you will have time to enjoy it to the fullest. You'll probably be walking a lot, so comfortable shoes and loose clothing will be a good choice. How to get there: Take the public bus from Yogyakarta (it will cost you less than 1 euro, yes, less than 1 euro). Or you can take the minibus for about 4 euros. That's a very good deal.

Food advice: Try the Tagine, which is a stew of different kinds of vegetables and/or meat, with some couscous.
