Athens

Day 1-2
Athens will be our pick up point, where the tour starts.

Polylimnio Waterfalls Road

Day 2
Polylimnio is a complex of waterfalls and lakes, located in the heart of Peloponnesian forest. In ancient times it used to be the private baths of Pylos mythical king,Nestor. It is a breathtaking scenery, which contains waterfalls,lakes and a lot of different types of plants. Polylimnio is also the house of 200 different types of birds and small animals. Travellers will have an unique opportunity to swim and jump into the lake's water.

Pilos

Day 2-3
After waterfalls we will head to Pylos.Pylos is an amazing town at the southwest of peloponnese's penynsula.Historically also known under its Italian name Navarino, is a town and a former municipality in Messenia, Peloponnese, Greece.It was the capital of the former Pylia Province. It is the main harbour on the Bay of Navarino. Nearby villages include Gialova, Pyla, Elaiofyto, Schinolakka, and Palaionero. We will have lunch and free time to rest in Pylos. We will accommodate there.

Neokastro

Day 3
The fortress of New Navarino(Neokastro) is an Ottoman fortification near Pylos, Greece. It is one of two castles guarding the strategic Bay of Pylos, on which it sits. New Navarino is located in the southern entrance of the bay, while the northern entrance is guarded by the 13th-century Old Navarino castle, built by the Crusaders of the Principality of Achaea. In juxtaposition with the latter, New Navarino is often known simply as Neokastro or Niokastro. We will also visit the archaeological museum of Pylos inside the fortress.

Palace of Nestor

Day 3
After that we will visit the Palace of Mythical King Nestor.The Palace of Nestor was an important centre in Mycenaean times, and described in Homer's Odyssey and Iliad as Nestor's kingdom of Pylos.The site is the best preserved Mycenaean Greek palace discovered. The palace is the primary structure within a larger Late Helladic era settlement, once probably surrounded by a fortified wall. This was a two-storey building with store rooms, workshops, baths, light wells, reception rooms and a sewage system. The settlement had been long occupied with most artifacts discovered dating from 1300 BC. The palace complex was destroyed by fire around 1200 BC.

Archaeological Museum of Chora

Day 3
We will also visit the archeological museum of Chora which exibits all the foundings of the palace of Nestor.

Day 3
Time for swimming in one of the most beautiful beaches of Medditerenean sea.

Gialova

Day 3
After swimming we will enjoy traditional Greek dishes in the seaside village of Gialova, with amazing view.

Methoni

Day 3-4
After lunch we will head to Methoni village. We will h spend the rest of the evening there, have dinner and accommodate.

Κάστρο Μεθώνης - Methoni Castle

Day 4
Tour continues after breakfast,in Methoni Castle.Built by the Venetians in the early 13th century on a rocky promontory, the castle is among the largest ones in the Mediterranean. You’ll be astonished at the bridge stone of 14 arches which connects the castle to the shore instead of the timber one that used to stand in its place before the Venetians ever got there. The celebrated symbol of Venice, the lion of St Marc, dominates the gate of the castle where immured reliefs, emblems, blazons, inscriptions, the huge gates especially the main gate, above the moat – and the relics of two Ottoman bathhouses have survived.

Day 4
After your visit in the castle we will have free time to explore the town or swim in the sandy beach in front of the Castle. After that we will have lunch in a local restaurant.

Athens

Day 4
After lunch we will take the way back to Athens, your drop off place.
