Thrilling diving trip in the red sea - Dahab, Egypt

Guided trip
Diving sites are flexible. The red sea has always been a very thrilling destination for divers from all over the world. With warm weather all year round, corals have the perfect environment to grow and nourish, attracting both exquisite marine life and terrestrial life alike. Dahab is known to have some of the healthiest, most vibrant, and most resilient coral reefs in the Middle East. If you are ready to have a thrilling diving experience in some of the most beautiful diving sites, you should start packing and join me right away. Diving holidays in Dahab don’t only offer the chance to explore below the surface, they invite you to live in a vibrant area with families, kids, goats, camels, and a wide range of international travellers who have also decided to enjoy their time there. I received my Advanced open water diving license and I'm planning to make the most out of it. Although I dived a couple of sites in Dahab before, it still has a lot to offer, and I can't hold myself from going again. I'm responsible for planning the whole trip, so you don't have to worry about a thing. I'm planning 8 dives. if we want to do more, we can arrange that. I listed below some of the famous sites, but there are plenty. The ones listed below are not obligatory, we can choose whichever sites we want, or we can adjust according to recommendations. In general, I'm a pretty flexible guy and always open to suggestions ;) The pre-calculated costs include transportation from and to the airport (Sharm Elsheikh), the accommodation, transportation from and to the diving sites, and 8 dives. They don't include plane tickets, or the boat (if we ever need one to go to a specific diving site). There is also the possibility to join if you don't have experience in diving or don't have the license. You can join on the boat, snorkel, take a swim, enjoy snacks and lunch, or just kick back and enjoy the sun. The cost will however be less than that of the diving. Note: I don't orgainize trips to earn money. I orgainize to share an exciting time with fellow travelers and get to know more people. That being said, if we have a little extra by the end, we will plan something as a bonus with the rest of the money. If you have a question or suggestion, please get in touch.

Trip Itinerary
1

Lighthouse Road

Day 1-2
At the sheltered, northern end of Dahab bay, the Lighthouse reef, with its gradually sloping sandy bottom, coral wall, and deep pinnacles (and elephant!) the Lighthouse is not only a favorite for training, refresh dives, and buoyancy checks, but fantastic dive site in its own right.
2

Gabr el-Bint

Day 2-3
Thanks to its remote location, Gabr El Bint is one of the coastline’s rarely dived sites and can only be accessed via an hour-long boat safari. However, once you’re immersed there’s a real treat in store with an extensive garden of Gorgonian fans from a depth of 20 meters and a series of shelters and sand valleys to be found on either side of the hard coral buttress above.
3

Blue Hole

Day 3-4
The Blue Hole, accessed via Bell Tower, is one of the Red Sea’s most famous dives and features a semi-open tunnel that leads down to the start of a drift dive which takes you across a huge sinkhole. This is one of those dives that will leave you gasping and then wanting to turn around and do it all over again.

3 Pools

Day 4-5
Three sandy pools interconnected by saddles of coral form the entry and exit point for this dive. Outside of the third pool, a young resident napoleon fish might catch your eye just before you descend to the deepest point of the dive by following a sandy alley with brain corals, pipe corals, and salad corals along the sides. The alley brings you to a coral garden with pinnacles. A resident turtle often patrols the area. The later part of the dive is a shallow area where sand and coral blocks seem to compete to catch a bit of sun, showing wonderful red-colored details. Crocodilefish and scorpionfish try to hide in the sandy parts, while octopuses blend in wherever they go, but divers with an eye for detail will spot them for sure.
5

Canyon .. Dahab .. South Sinaa

Day 5-6
Situated south of Blue Hole, Canyon was formed by ancient seismic activity that caused a huge rift in the reef table. From the outside, it can be intriguing and from inside you’ll see a ceiling of beautiful blue hues decorated in fishes enjoying a curtain of bubbles. For shallow divers, there’s a drift dive past the Canyon, via a beautiful coral garden, alongside Red Sea walkman, Red Sea anemone, and everyone’s favorite, Nemo! Sorry, clownfish.
6

Dahab

Day 6-7
This site is a favorite among guides and guests alike. A coral maze that truly shows the Red Sea coral at its best. Three giant pinnacles have grown together over the ages to create a playground of valleys and lagoons full of every reef fish you can imagine. One of the lagoons is home to thousands of juvenile barracuda, with trevally and large snapper always in attendance guarding their larder! An earthquake 10 years ago collapsed huge sections of the reef exposing holes and cracks that are rapidly filling up with renewed coral growth. This dive site never disappoints and as one of the shallower dives, it is accessible to all certification levels.
