Sailing across the Greek Mediterranean

From Athens you drive about 1 hour to the marina in Lavrion. It would be good if you could be at the port by early afternoon (2/15pm). We will meet at the port on the first day, go shopping together and get to know each other over dinner. During the trip we will cook on board, but also try the harbor restaurants. As we feel like it. On the first day the skipper will give you and your mates a briefing and then we will sleep the night on the boat in the harbor, so that our stomachs can get used to the gentle rocking (better than any cradle!).

The next morning, after a short yacht briefing, we finally set off! With other young sailors it goes south. Who can sail, can of course directly help! ...but also beginners can learn to sail and get actively involved! In between, of course, there will always be stops for a swim, if everyone feels like it. Then it goes on to the port of Aegina, where we spend the evening relaxed.

Every day is different and every day is just beautiful. Today the sailing route continues southeast past Poros to Spetses. In the course of our trip, a fantastic bay awaits us in the northwest, where we lie very quiet and where we will enjoy the stars after the sundowner.

After a hearty breakfast, we set off from the Mediterranean Sea. We sail about 3-5 hours a day, depending on weather and mood. If there is an absolute lull, don't hang your head, but take a dip in the refreshing water! Then we continue to Erimoni, where we end the evening with our favorite drink in hand.

If we feel like culture, today we sail only a few miles to the port of Hydra. This unique port, where the only means of transportation are donkeys and horse-drawn carriages, leaves nothing to be desired. During the day we can stroll through the alleys of the city and treat ourselves to a frappé, the typical Greek iced coffee, while listening to relaxing music. If you dare, jump off the cliffs in front of the bar into the crystal clear Mediterranean Sea.

Strengthened, tanned and refreshed, we set sail today on Poros. Here we have this excellent feta in puff pastry with honey ;).

Our sailing adventure ends, as it should, with a proper sail from Poros to Lavrion. You will have the chance to apply everything you have learned during the last week, to tackle, to sail along. So that when you arrive in the harbor you realize that sailing is a sport. And how underbar relaxed you feel after a week of water, sun and wind.
