This tour takes the riders to discover the Val di Chiana and Lake Trasimeno. The 6-day tour crosses the provinces of Siena and Perugia offering typically Tuscan landscapes and medieval villages. The stages of the tour develop on roads with little traffic and immersed in the beautiful landscapes of the area. The hotels are selected to maximise your confort after your daily bike ride and the restaurants chosen among the most representative of the area. We provide road or hybrid bicycles, a fully equipped minivan to follow every ride of the trip and 2 Trip Leaders for your daily ride. An active bicycle ride, of a total of 200km and 3125mt of difference in height, in a gently rolling countryside, with occasional longer climbs to points that are well worth the effort and few breaks in between. Arrival of customers at Chiusi train station, pick up of the group and transfer to the hotel in Sinalunga area, delivery of the rooms and first ride by bicycle.The ride will take you to the village of Montepulciano and return via a different itinerary. Departure for the second ride that will take you to the beautiful abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore, crossing the Tuscan countryside and climbing the hills between the villages of Trequanda, Chiusure and Asciano. Return to the hotel with a different itinerary. Picnic lunch at Chiusure. 33 miles / 44 km

Check out and departure from the hotel in Sinalunga. The suitcases will be loaded on the support van and this third ride crosses the Val di Chiana, a beautiful valley where the famous Chianina cows are raised.The route is easy to cycle without too many difficulties, through an area dedicated to agriculture with quiet roads, crossing the village of Castiglion Fiorentino. Lunch and dinner in local restaurants. 21 miles / 35 km

Cortona

Departure from our hotel in Cortona for a new ride across the village and the beautiful Tuscan countryside leading to Lake Trasimeno in Umbria, for a few kilometres, and then returns to Tuscany. Today we will do a local wine tasting accompanied by a light lunch of typical Tuscan products. After the tasting and lunch, return to the hotel in Cortona by bicycle or support van. 34 miles / 55 km

Last ride of the tour offers the possibility to pedal along the perimeter of Lake Trasimeno, passing through the villages of Tuoro, a famous place where in 217A.C. the famous battle of Lake Trasimeno took place between the Romans and the Carthaginians. Other villages on our way will be Passignano, San Feliciano and Sant'Arcangelo. Route without difficulty, practically flat, almost all on cycle paths and some stretches of gravel. Lunch and dinner at a local restaurant. 37 miles / 60 km

Last day, check out and departure from our hotel in the Castiglion del Lago area, customers will be accompanied to the Chiusi station or can leave with their own vehicles directly from the hotel. In the morning it is possible to ride a short zone if the customers wish and leave in the afternoon.
