Trip Itinerary
1
Pico Ruivo
Day 1-2
Do you want to see the most beautiful sunset or/and sunrise at 1860 meters? On the horizon the sun sinks into the sea and below us a sea of clouds that makes the highest mountains of Madeira appear even more surreal. An experience that you will definitely not forget. If we feel like it, we can also combine the sunset or sunrise with a hike through the mountains. Actually an absolute MUST in Madeira.
2
Santana
Day 2-3
In this region there are incredibly many and beautiful levada walks, which are always good to hike, because they run at ground level. (Levadas are artificial water channels that supply the farmers on the island with water).
3
Boaventura
Day 3-4
If we were in the mood for a more "gnarly" hiking tour, yours would be in Boaventura. The ridge walk along the Pico do Alto is one of the most spectacular adventures on the north coast of the island. Here, your head for heights is put to the test while offering incredible views of Sao Jorge on one side of the mountain and Boaventura on the other. In the background looms the mountains of the island - an unforgettable combination of sea, mountains and the intensity of the path.
4
Ponta Do Sol
Day 4-5
Madeira has several beautiful waterfalls to offer, some of which can be discovered and admired by car, on foot or hidden by hiking. Let us surprise you, which ones we will see...
5
Funchal
Day 5-6
How about a stroll through the city of Madeira's capital? Stroll along the promenade, taste delicious dishes in small alleys or maybe drink a poncha by the water? Funchal, as the hub of Madeira with 250,000 thousand inhabitants, has a lot to discover.
6
Seixal
Day 6-8
Since Madeira is a volcanic island, it has many beautiful black sand & stone beaches, which often make the colors of the green mountain slopes, the turquoise sea as well as the ruggedness of the cliffs look even more intense and impressive. Madeira also has several natural lava pools where swimming is an absolute experience. Madeira is also perfect for snorkeling or diving. Thus, nothing would stand in the way of an extensive beach day on secret beaches with crystal clear water and colorful fish. Or maybe we make a day trip to the neighboring island Porto Santo, where you have absolute Caribbean feeling on the 7 km long sandy beach and even still completely alone?!
