Your dream holiday is sailing the Croatian coast, and learning how to sail? Jump on board with a professional instructor and have a great course while you enjoy Croatian islands. The Basic course is a seven-day intermediate sailing school. During the course, you will sail in the waters around Pula and the nearby islands of the northern Adriatic such as Unije, Ilovik, Mali Lošinj, and Susak. During the course, you will learn boat maneuvering, navigational skills, safety, mechanical problem solving, and how to sail. Also, during the course, our skipper instructor will prepare you for taking the exam at Harbour Master's office, so if you want, you can take the exam and get a valid B category license. Great thing is that you don't have to have a previous sailing experience, just goodwill for new experience and adventure. The price includes 7 days onboard accommodation, skipper instructor, skipper lessons, tourist taxes, transit log, boat fuel, and mooring fee for marinas and buoy fields. Only food and drinks are not included in the price. Sign up for the Basic Course, and master the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge for independent sailing in 7 days. Pula

Day 1-2
Saturday: Pula – meeting and getting to know each other, organizing grocery shopping. After accommodation, you will have full check-in of a boat to get acquainted with every part of it.

Uvala Portic

Day 2-3
Sunday: Pula - bay Portic - Undocking from the marina and first time maneuvering the boat on your own, getting the feeling of the boat, how to properly turn the boat and stay on the line. Correct usage of the mooring winch. Spending the night on anchor or buoy. Also, little practice maneuvering the dingy.

Unije

Day 3-4
Monday: bay Portic - Unije - Sailing across the Kvarner. Four hours of sailing and first lessons about sailing. On island Unije, you will practice to chack and tying the mooring buoy. After a long day, you will spend a night on a Buoy and have free time to explore the little island Unije.

Mali Losinj

Day 4-5
Tuesday: Unije – Mali Lošinj - If required, a little bit more of practising how to catch the buoy and exercise touch and go on a buoy. Once you leave Unije, you will sail to Lošinj, on Lošinj you will practice touch and go on a pontoon in front of a marina. Spending the night at city Mali Lošinj which is the biggest city in this area and a great opportunity to explore the food and culture of Mali Lošinj.

Ilovik

Day 5-6
Wednesday: Lošinj – Ilovik - maneuvering the boat to the bay where you can practice the anchoring. Anchoring lessons with and without an attached stern line to the shore. Once you master the anchoring at several locations and with different techniques.

Susak

Day 6-7
Thursday: Ilovik – Susak - All day sailing to Susak, learning how to trim the sails, practicing tacking and jibing. Introduction to the main characteristics of the propulsion system, Recognizing and solving the most common sailing mistakes.

Pula

Day 7
Friday: Susak – Pula - To this date, you should learn everything about sailing on your own and sail across the Kvarner without any instructor's help. Once you dock in starting marina, you will have time for your final preparation if you take the exam.
