Guided trip
Hello to the wanderer who stumbled upon this page, You will have the Amalfi coast to explore with soon-to-be friends that you never knew existed. You will want to know a bit about me. My name is Tala Smiley, Lebanese and 27 years old. I am a huge poetry, arts, and jewelry lover. I'm currently pursuing a second master's degree, this time in Islamic art. I also work part-time, mainly as a grants researcher, for an art gallery that focuses on urban art. I am looking for 3-4 tripmates. The whole week will be spent exploring neighboring areas and cities. Each tripmate will have their own room, however the bathrooms might be shared. I have been to several countries, and nothing beats the thrill you get when you explore a new street, village, city, or when you stumble upon the cutest restaurants and shops. I have been to Naples briefly on my way to Pompeii years ago. Back then, I took the tour from Rome. The Amalfi Coast will be a new region for me to experience in Italy. When traveling with me, you will directly notice my calmness and my high level of curiosity. I will be renting a car for the whole stay in Amalfi, which will be a more convenient mode of transportation to explore with. I'm considered a good driver. If you wish to also drive, please notify me when you contact me. 💰 The cost per tripmate includes the accommodation costs for one week and the car rental. As for the other expenses, they will be split among us when we are on the trip. If you would like to join me, please send me a message with information about who you are, what you do, and why you would like to join me on this adventure 📬

Trip Itinerary

Amalfi

Day 1-7
Our accommodation will be in Amalfi village on the Amalfi coast overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. We will explore the sites within it, as well as the other villages and sites that are in the same region. In Amalfi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will get the chance to visit and see the Cathedral of St. Andrew, the Amalfi paper Museum, the Natural Reserve of Valle delle Ferriere, and many other places and historical monuments. The Amalfi Coast holds the treasures of history.
2

Positano

Day 7
Positano is considered the pearl of the Amalfi Coast. Its beauty makes it seem as if it's a dreamscape. The pastel colored houses seem to be a part of the Lattari Mountains. The small shops display an array of the local crafts, like the linen dresses, colorful ceramics, and leather sandals. There is also so much to see here: the Chapel of St. John, Grotta La Porta, the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, ...
3

Ravello

Day 7
Overlooking the Gulf of Salerno, Ravello is in the middle of the Amalfi Coast. It is known as the City of Music. There are a number of churches to visit in this charming village. A must see in Ravello, for its famous architectural structures, is the the Villa Rufolo.
4

Pompei

Day 7
Pompei, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is situated in the vicinity of Mount Vesuvius. After the volcano's eruption in 79 AD, Pompei was buried and forgotten, until excavated. It was an ancient city that was preserved under the volcanic ash, even some bread particles were found in the ovens. From what remains, archaeologists were able to learn that this city was advanced for its time.
5

Grotta dello Smeraldo

Day 7
This cave was discovered in 1932. In English, Grotta dello Smeraldo means Emerald Grotto. This name was inspired by the colors in the water. One of its most interesting features would be the stalagmitic structures rising from depth of the waters.
6

Path of Gods

Day 7
Its name brings back into the observer's mind Greek mythology, especially the landscapes within these myths. This mountain trail offers a beautiful view where there's a possibility of seeing Cilento. Along the path, we will come across the Grotta del Biscotto, known for its biscuit-bread shape.
