Guided trip
👋 Hello TripMates, Let me show you my African home and country! I'm Baboucar, called Mister B, and I was born in the little village Buniado, Gambia West Africa, and I love nature. I started my first Camp in Buniadu in 1999 and build it myself. All buildings and materials are in local style, in the heart of nature. I own 2 camps: Camp 1 in Buniado is my place to meet and connect travellers since 23 years. It is situated in a local village at the North Bank of Gambia and surrounded by trees, friendly animals and the local hospital. It is close to a river where we like to spend some evenings. Camp 2 (“Sitaworro Camp”) is new and opened in May 2022 at Jinack Island, also known as Paradise Island. The camp is situated in the middle of the Niumi National Park and surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the river Gambia. It truly is paradise. In the camps I have friendly helpers which you will get to know. Among others these are: - Omar Keita, called bushman, is our specialist for Gambian bush trips and wildlife. He knows where you can find eatable roots, herbs or even medicine. You have to try his bushtea!! 🤗 - Alhaji Mansour Camara, called Alex, is our helper in the camp and also a promoter in the city of Banjul. He is our city life expert for the South Bank of Gambia. If you like to have a guided city trip in Banjul, experience Gambian nightlife or play the African drums he is your man! During our trip I’ll show you my two camps and my country with its traditions, history, nature and wildlife. 💰 Included in this trip: - Transfer to and from the airport - 2 nights accommodation in the capital Banjul for the first and last day - 7 nights accommodation in the village camp in Buniado - 4 nights accommodation in the island camp “Sitaworro” on Jinack Island - Breakfast in the camps and Banjul - Visit of Fort Bullen - Visit of Barra market town - Visit of the former slave island of Kunta Kinthe - 1 day bush camping - Monkey park and Albert market in Banjul - River Gambia walk - Enjoying beach time at the Atlantic Ocean The nights in the camp can be exchanged with each other.
