About me: My name is India and I’m a 23-year-old Brit who loves to travel and connect with people from all over and I’m currently based in Madrid. I love showing TripMates what a city has to offer and experiencing new places myself. I’m looking for 3 trip mates to join me for a weekend in Germany’s capital 🇩🇪. I went to Berlin in 2019 for a visit and I’ve been itching to go back since😎. It is one of THE coolest and most fascinating cities I’ve visited ✌️. My travelling style includes a bit of everything. I’m laid back but I like to to experience the sites + the history, taste the local cuisine and leave some time to experience the nightlife🕺. Berlin is known for it’s awesome techno and club scenes, so this is something I want to experience with you all 💿 If this sounds of interest to you, I’m sure we’ll have an amazing trip together. The Trip: I’ve have booked us two PRIVATE double rooms in a top rated hostel in the centre of Berlin, located in the Mitte district 5 minutes from Museum Island .📍That way we have the best of both worlds…The privacy of a room whilst having access to the social life of the hostel facilities (it has rooftop terraces and bars!). On the Wednesday we will meet in town to get to know each and to discuss our itinerary over a beer or two.🍻 As we are located so centrally, we can take the days at our own pace, visiting the main attractions + cultural sites on foot or bike at the start of our trip before easing into the weekend 👀 Berlin is made up of wonderful buzzing neighbourhoods and parks with amazing spots to eat and drink 🍴 If this sounds like a trip you want to be a part of, send me a message! If you're still interested after, we can arrange a call. I have included some more details below. 📝 What’s included: - Accommodation 🛏 —> 4 nights in a central hostel room. - Trip Leader Fee 💸 Things to expect:❓ - Rooms will be shared. I have booked two double rooms. - Daily Budgeting food/excursions : Approx €30-€40 per day - Whilst I suggest we make the most of the restaurants in Berlin, the Hostel has its own affordable café and restaurants if we’re feeling like a relaxed morning in.

Trip Itinerary
1

Mitte

Day 1-5
On arrival, we can get to know each other and our new neighbourhood for the coming days. This area is right in the hub of the city, with awesome squares, bars and cultural spots. 🤪 It's home to the Brandenburg Gate and Museum Island’s art institutions, as well as the Hauptbahnhof central train station and Tiergarten park.
2

Berlin Wall

Day 5
Of course, one of the must-see sites of the city is the iconic Berlin Wall.📍 The Berlin Wall was a guarded concrete barrier that physically and ideologically divided Berlin from 1961-1989 as well as West Berlin from East German territory. It is truly a unique spot to visit and to take in the history, not to mention the amazing photo opportunities.📸
3

Tempelhofer Feld

Day 5
This unique spot of the city encapsulates the Nazi and Cold War history of the city; Tempelhof airport ceased operation in 2008, but now you can stroll down the runways where Second World War Stuka dive-bombers took off. It was also where Western Powers dropped supplies for the city’s 2.5 million residents in 1948 one of the greatest feats in aviation history. Today, the 368-hectare open space of runways and grasslands. ✈️
4

Markthalle Neun

Day 5
For any food lovers or IPA fans, the Markthalle IX market is an awesome visit. 🍴 During the late-19th century, 14 covered markets were opened to replace traditional outdoor ones. Local residents saved this one from closure in 2009, filling it with stalls serving locally sourced veg and meats. On Thursdays, it has big street food nights, attracting people from all over the city!
5

Mauerpark

Day 5
During the summer months, the city’s largest public parks such as Volkspark Friedrichshain, Tiergarten + Mauerpark become popular evening hangouts, as well as good spots to explore during the day.☀️ Outdoor karaoke, flea markets are popular and in the evenings, some parks also open up their Freiluftkino (open-air cinemas). We can grab a beer and some snacks, and relax into summer evening Berlin-style 🤪
6

Berghain | Panorama Bar

Day 5
If we're feeling ambitious, we can head to the famous Berghain nightclub 🤩 It is considered to be one of the world's best nightclubs. It has three dance floors: Berghain, a dark main room where most DJs play techno, Panorama Bar, an upstairs space that's more focused on house, and the Säule on ground floor. If the infamous door policy causes us difficult however, other iconic clubs such as Tresor, KitKat Club or FunkHaus 🎊
