About the trip: The price includes a shared room in a budget hotel in Venice (Mestre!). The hotel is located 500m from the train station. if you prefer a single room it is possible with extra fee. The mainland area of Mestre connects with central Venice by road and rail across the Liberty Bridge. Teatro Toniolo stages classical concerts, while Piazza Ferretto is overlooked by the medieval Torre dell’Orologio and lined with al fresco coffee shops and trattorias. A few hip bars and cafés cluster at the restored 19th-century Forte Marghera, and neighboring San Giuliano Park has views over the Venetian Lagoon.
